Kaddish (more properly, the Mourners Kaddish) is the traditional Jewish prayer for the dead, recited for a specified period after the death of a parent, child, spouse or sibling, as well as during the Yizkor service on Yom Kippur.
When my mother died in January, at age 97, I knew where to go to say Kaddish for her to the synagogue where Ive been praying (haphazardly) for over a decade.
But where do I go to say Kaddish for my country the nation that nurtured me like a parent, the country that defines me as a person as much as my faith, the nation I love with a fierce protectiveness that only a patriot can understand?

Actually , you want to say a rafuah shalema:
If you have a friend or family member who is ill and you wish to pray for them, the following Refuah Shlema Hebrew prayer may be recited to ask God for a complete and speedy recovery.
Mi-sheberakh avoteinu v’imoteinu, Avraham v’Sarah, Yitzhak v’Rivkah, Ya’akov, Rachel v’Leah hu y’varekh et (recite the English and Hebrew name) v’yavi aleihem refuat hanefesh u’refuat haguf yachad im kol cholei amo Yisrael. Barukh atah Adonai, rofeh ha’cholim.
May the One who was a source of blessing for our ancestors, bring blessings of healing upon (recite the English and Hebrew name), a healing of body and a healing of spirit. May those in whose care they are entrusted, be gifted with wisdom and skill, and those who surround them, be gifted with love and trust, openness and support in their care. And may they be healed along with all those who are in need. Blessed are You, Source of healing. Amen.
Omein.
“...the nation that nurtured me like a parent,
the country that defines me as a person...”

I think the author is hinting at what I see as the problem, here.
‘We, the people’ have failed to nurture ‘our’ nation.
‘We, the people’ should define our country, not the other way around.
Beautiful, thanks.
