David Frum Plays the Race Card (against Sarah Palin)
conservatives4palin ^ | Thursday July 8, 2010 | Ian Lazaran

David Frum has finally jumped the shark. Some conservative/right-of-center folks may have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt before but playing the race card is something that is universally despised by conservative and moderates. Frum pulls the race card from the bottom of the deck against Governor Palin's new ad:

Here’s Sarah Palin’s new ad. Lots of images of the former governor speaking to adoring crowds, meeting admirers, encountering women and children....

Republicans normally work hard to ensure that their ads feature non-white faces, to present an image of welcome and inclusion.

In Palin’s ad -- not one. Now listen carefully to the audio, which twice warns of a “fundamental transformation of America,” twice emphasizes a threat to children and grandchildren from malign unnamed forces.

I think she’s talking about healthcare. I hope so. But she never does say so.

Frum pretty much stands alone with the radical left on this issue. A diverse set of voices from Republican insiders to Mediaite to Mika Brzezinski has applauded the ad.

Frum updates his post by conceding that he was mistaken about the ad not featuring minorities. What he has not done is apologize for his initial mistake and has not retracted his repulsive race-baiting post. Frum seems pretty desperate to increase traffic to his blog since it has slipped dramatically after the spike it received upon his departure from AEI (he gets the same amount of traffic as we do despite the fact that none of us are on CNN regularly).

Keep in mind too that the David Frum playing the race card against Governor Palin is the same David Frum who has openly said we should not go after the votes of Hispanics and African-Americans.

Most of us here figured out who Frum was a while ago.

listen carefully to the audio, which twice warns of a “fundamental transformation of America,” twice emphasizes a threat to children and grandchildren from malign unnamed forces.

Obama is the one promising a "fundamental transformation of America". Or did Frum miss that? It was in the news.

The "malign forces" are the communist mafiosi who have captured the White House and both houses of congress. We'd better take them seriously because they are playing for high stakes. We'd better be playing for keeps.

Has it been proven that Frum is not just a bitter, ugly, woman?

These bastards are trying to hide their agenda of turning America into a fascist/feudalist society under their control

behind their puppet’s impenetrable melanin-based criticism shield.

Palin is in a mixed race marriage, with mixed race children, it amazes me that people get away with calling her racist.

Frum is a self-admitted Bilderberger.

"Republicans normally work hard to ensure that their ads feature non-white faces, to present an image of welcome and inclusion. "

And Democrats include everyone...everyone, that is, who faithfully recite the strict fundamental doctrines of the pseudo-enlightened Progressive faith.

What sick puppy Frum is. He worked to throw Election 2008
to Obama and claims he is a "conservative".

Only the LSM would believe him.

"Frum was indeed a critic of Palin, calling her nomination a "huge mistake" during an October 13 (2008, weeks before the election) Early Show appearance."

David Frum: "Two of our most plausible candidates for president in 2012 are leading Mormons: Mitt Romney and Utah governor Jon Huntsman."

David Frum: "I have a lot of regard for Mitt Romney as a man and politician… I will support him without qualm."

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

“In Palin’s ad — not one.”

####

So?

That is not OUR problem, and certainly nothing that requires apologies or false, quota-based photo-ops to remedy.

If blacks do not respond to the message of conservatives, it is because of their OWN racist ignorance.

THEY need to change, not us.

She’ll be called a racist because she’s not a socialist that believes in stealing the wealth of the majority to give to minorities. That’s their only criteria.

She is?

Does she have another husband besides Todd?

Golly, was their spooky music too?

Perhaps some foggy mist floating just above the ground... the distant howling of wolves?

Idiots.

So when has Sarah Palin said anything remotely critical of African-Americans? Any time a conservative opens their mouth, it’s denounced as racism. It’s a traditional leftist powerplay. I don’t know why Frum is using it.

Conservatism is inherently AMERICANISM. Conserving America’s founding principles. The only nation conceived in liberty.

If someone has a problem with the conservative message, it’s because they are hostile to the principles of a nation conceived in liberty.

They’ll continue to use the race card while it still “works” to silence their opposition.

Conversely, they’ll stop using it when we don’t shut up when they play it.
