Must be something different. Don’t recall the actual census having anything about health care.
It could also be a scam. But then again, so is the census.
They must be saving the best for last, because I have not received anything in the mail and they haven’t been to my house.
As for your case, it’s sure sounds like a scam to me....

Census workers don’t *call* you. They supposedly don’t know your phone number.
I recall years ago being told in a government meeting that government employees cannot identify themselves falsely. A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE commits a crime by giving a flase name or employer, unless he/she has been allowed to do so by law (Example: an IRS employee whose life has been threatened and needs an alias).
So if this person said they were a census worker and they were not, a crime may have been committed....
