EL PASO, Texas -- U.S. Marshals confirmed to ABC-7 Friday afternoon that a body found in a Sunland Park, N.M. landfill was that of a federal inmate who escaped the El Paso jail earlier in the day.

It’s nice when the trash takes itself out!

This tool forgot to check what type of garbage truck was hauling the trash. Most of what I’ve seen here in El Paso are the compactor type. Well at least he gets to go back to Mexico!

there was flaw in the way trash was disposed of at the jail

Could someone fill me in. I just don't see the flaw.

Oops! Guess he forgot that it’s a garbage *compacter* too. Talk about a Darwin Award winner! He must have been really really upset for the last few seconds of his life, when he saw the inevitable coming towards him.

I guess they just can’t leave him where they found him, eh...

El Paso County Sheriff Richard Wiles admitted Friday morning there was flaw in the way trash was disposed of at the jail and said they have fixed that flaw to prevent future escapes. He did not go into specifics of what was changed.

Hehehehe... For some reason I picture a bunch of swords welded to the crusher plates (if that's what they're called).

>> at least he gets to go back to Mexico!

Next time he crosses back into the US, it’ll be on your lettuce and spinach!

Fertilizing produce is prolly the most useful thing he’ll ever do.
