I think they ask questions about different topics for all Supreme Court Nominees. Kagan had to explain her stance on Harvard not allowing Recruiters on campus. Everyone gets questions.

You don't see any difference in the treatment of Conservatives by the likes of Ted Kennedy and the treatment of Kagan by the likes of O. Ron Hatch?
