snoozer
To my eye Spain looked the better team throughout, so I’d say the better team won.
Heck of a game. If ever two teams deserved to win one game, this was it.
YAWN!
The German octopus goes 8 for 8.
BFD
“Spain beats Netherlands 1-0”
Well I for one was just all aquiver. Okay, maybe not.
Paul, the psychic octopus, is right again!
Seems that German Octopus is running a far better prediction rate than Nostradamus.... =.=
Soccer is excruciatingly boring and will never be popular in US. Slow moving and low scoring games adds insult to injury. More popular with liberal/socialist nations....
The officiating in the World Cup has been dreadful and embarassing. The bad call on the free kick, that should have lead to a corner kick for the Netherlands, lead directly to Spain’s goal.
Virtually all games in this Cup have had important goals awarded or taken away by bad calls. Until they institute instant replay or add 3 more referees on the field soccer will never be more than a minor sport in the US....
Somebody cares?
Who knew?
I thought the officials favored Spain enough to decide the match. Robben was held and deserved a penalty shot; instead they gave him a yellow card. The red card against Netherlands that decided the game was not warranted. The Spanish did play well, but the officiating was decisive.
NO MORE VUVUZELAS!!!!!!
Very boring...and I must say, the wrong team won!
Too bad though, this seems to be the case these days...
After all, look at who won the Democratic election!
Socker is boring.
I know where there is a bunch of downcast Dutchmen right now.
Soccer IS a socialist game. Yo play with both hands behind your back...and the officials usually decide the game.
