Leading U.S. independent refiner Valero Energy Corp faulted the decision. San Antonio-based Valero has six Texas refineries, the most owned by a single company. The plants employ 2,700 people.
"When the flex permit program was rolled out in 1994, EPA and environmental groups applauded it, and EPA approval seemed implicit," said Valero spokesman Bill Day in a statement. "Now, 16 years later, EPA is reversing course, and our facilities are caught in the middle, creating significant uncertainty at a time when our economy can least afford it."

Insanity.
Its high time for civil disobedience against the marxists.
It’s sickening to watch. These people are shutting down America any way they can. Killing the greatest nation on the planet for what? Some retarded green dream.
So this industry/economy killing move is about CO2?
Greenhouse theory is pure bunkum.

This is the difference between a politicized economy and rule of law. Rule of law, you may or may not like the rules but everyone knows what they are, they know what they will be tomorrow, and they know how the courts are going to rule before you ever go to court. So you just get on with it. You make your plans accordingly and go.
In a politicized economy, you don’t know what they rules will be tomorrow and you don’t know how the courts will rule. So you have to have friends in high places. For self-defense you have to have contacts, you have to have people in office who will take your calls, you have to be able to call in favors when you need them. You have to be able to shape the rules as they come down, purely in self defense.
This is oligarchy. Politicized economies always produce oligarchy. The businesses who can navigate and control the politics prosper. The others keep their heads down, try and move their money to safe havens, and hope for better days.
World of hurt reserved for y'all.
And not the least of which is your own idiot cities starving, baking, and freezing to death.
Change you can be extinct to.
No Kidding, Chet is quite the scumbag. I was glad when they re-distrcited and I got Carter instead of this O-hole.

Yeah here are a couple more uncertainties...
I think it is EPA night for me...LOL.
Texas should just write back the EPA and say, “Dear EPA—kiss our asses...”
The state of Texas should step in and tell the EPA to go F___ itself.
Gee....how long do ya think New York, DC , LA and Chicago would run if Texas closed its refineries..
They can’t use Texas gasoline.
Force him to call out the NG or SEIU.
SURELY you have a few roughnecks that would just LOVE to get a peice of gummint force
Sums it up - Shutting America down -The agenda is more than oil.
EPA Agrees to Review Air Pollution Rules for 28 Industries
U.S. EPA has agreed to examine its air pollution rules for 28 industry sectors within the next eight years, setting the stage for review of the emissions control technologies used by large sectors including the paper, furniture and aerospace industries...
...Among other sectors that would face review are aluminum production, cement manufacturing, lead smelting, pesticide manufacturing, pharmaceuticals production and shipbuilding...
Treason.....
“This is oligarchy. Politicized economies always produce oligarchy...”
FWIW...progressive income tax always results in Oligarchy as well...its the mechanism by which the wealthy induce the sale and purchase of a government.
Wow ... 27% of US refining capacity just got thrown into economic limbo because Zero changed the rules. This means 27% of gasoline and chemicals supply will be vulnerable to the whims of gov zombies. Enviro’s win again ...
I don't think anyone here quite realizes what the Texas Take Over means. Add on moratoriums...
It is all just enough to push us over the edge.
