I'm not blowing smoke. I'm only going by what I read in just the past few days. Carly said she will NOT finance her campaign with her own funds. Sorry I can't quote the source; might be time to do a Google Search. But, make no mistake about it, SmaokingJoe, I can't stand Boxer and I do hope Fiorina wins, even though I think they both come across as a snobby, old rich b****.

I'm only going by what I read in just the past few days. Carly said she will NOT finance her campaign with her own funds.

From this link in a story dated July 13(today), and I quote:

“When she announced last fall, Fiorina said she would not self-fund her campaign and so far she has given $5.5 million in loans,”

Sorry I can't quote the source; might be time to do a Google Search.”

A simple internet search came up with the link above. Fiorina HAS self financed, despite saying she wouldn't self finance when she started her campaign. She is going to do whatever needs to be done to win.

That same article that said she LOANED her campaign $5.5 million also indicated that the loan was to be “paid back”. So, technically, she is not funding her campaign. Now, Meg Whitman is writing checks like crazy and not expecting it to be repaid; Carly won’t do that. Bottom Line: No matter what it takes, we’ve gotta gets Babs Boxer out of there.

Hilary Clinton “loaned” her campaign millions of dollars too. The money is yet to be paid back. Effectively, she spent her own money on her campaign.

technically, she is not funding her campaign.

The bottom line is, Fiorina spent whatever money it took in order to defeat Tom Campbell, who was far ahead of Fiorina even 3 mounts before the primaries. It's her money. She can do whatever she likes with it.

Carly won’t do that”

If Fiorina spent $5.5 million of her own money just to win the GOP primaries, what makes you think she won't spend even more of her own money to win the real prize, which is the California US Senate seat?
