NAACP Head Ben Jealous: American Revolution 'Wasn't Good for Nobody'
Tuesday, July 13, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 07/13/2010 11:33:55 AM PDT by kristinn

In remarks ignored by the national media, Ben Jealous, president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), attacked the American Revolution as "not good for nobody" in a speech last night at the NAACP's 101st annual convention being held in Kanasas City.

Jealous also criticized the Tea Party movement and Sarah Palin in his speech.

Jealous' comments were not reported by the national media, but they were reported (in text and by video) by KMBC-TV in Kansas City.

"Expel the bigots and racists in your ranks or take full responsibility for for all of their actions."

"...We will no longer allow you to hide like cowards behind signs that say 'Lynch Our President' or anyone else."

"Sarah Palin says, 'Let's party like it's 1776.' My white daddy would say be careful what you wish for because the 18th century, Sarah, wasn't good for nobody, even folks like you."

The NAACP is scheduled to vote today on a resolution accusing the Tea Party of being led by "hardcore white supremacists".

Rush Limbaugh played a clip of Jealous saying that Tea Party protesters carried signs saying "lynch Barack Hussein Obama and lynch Eric Holder."

Jealous’s supporters, including Chairman Julian Bond

Julian Bond first came to prominence as an opponent of the Vietnam War, doing the bidding of the white Soviet slave masters.

After reading his bio on Wikipedia I think he was just talking “down” to those with less education; not very nice. How will they improve themselves, whoever “they” is. :}

While you're at it, Ben, don't forget a resolution condemning all those "uncle toms" in Africa who are so opposed to homosexuality. Obviously they can't be "real" Blacks; this is almost certainly the work of racist hillbillies!

I suggest you start with Robert Mugabe. He's a real homophobic "Oreo."

An example that the title of "President and CEO" is no indicator of intelligence or capability. It is just a title. Like putting lipstick on a pig, it fools nobody who is really looking for substance.

I didn't see it. I kind’ve remember hearing he would be hosting and probably made the decision not to watch it. I remember him as a young man, however. He was about the most handsome man to that point, I had ever seen. When I found out how much he hated white people, I was devastated. I couldn't imagine how Dr. King would have allowed him to remain so close to him. I watched all the old faces of the NAACP fade (and die) and the ilk of those who took their places. It was shocking. My father thought so highly of those of his age who were the leaders of the NAACP. When they spoke, we listened. I still shake my head over how someone so blessed with such beauty could be so twisted inside, as was Mr. Bond. As I said, my childhood was filled with people of color and I never knew any who were as vile as Mr. Shabazz, nor as twisted as Mr. Jealous. He appears to have been aptly named.

“Established in 1909-1910, NAACP leadership was non-black until 1975.”

Ok it has been taken over by black (I use that term loosely)Racists. This will not end well for them.

It looks to me like he said the 18th century “wasn’t good for nobody.” I don’t see where he said anything about the American Revolution not being good.

During the election wasn’t an effigy of Sarah Palin lynched in San Fran? Did they cry out against that?

Looks like Mr Jealous could benefit from the United Negro Nursery School Fund.
