WASHINGTON (July 15, 2010) Hidden Cameras on the Arizona Border 2: Drugs, Guns, and 850 Illegal Aliens is the Center for Immigration Studies' second web-based film on the impact of illegal alien activity in Arizona. The Center's first video on the subject, Hidden Cameras on the Arizona Border: Coyotes, Bears, and Trails, has received over 52,000 views to date. This new 10-minute mini-documentary raises the bar, featuring footage of both illegal-alien entry as well as gun- and drug-smuggling. At minimum, the inescapable conclusion is that hidden cameras reveal a reality that illegal-alien activity is escalating.
The hidden camera footage, acquired from a variety of sources, indicates that there is an unfortunate lack of federal law enforcement presence on Arizonas federal land on the border in Nogales, in the Coronado National Forest (15 miles inside the border), and the Casa Grande Sector (80 miles inside the border). Also significant to the story are responses received as part of Freedom of Information Act requests made by Janice Kephart, the Centers Director of National Security Studies, in August 2009. Featured in the film is a 2004 federal government PowerPoint showing the near-complete devastation of a borderland national park due to illegal-alien activity, highlighting the disconnect between the situation on the ground in Arizona and Washington rhetoric.

The Center for Immigration Studies is an independent research institution that examines the impact of immigration on the United States.
Last night a local station had a spot about the Mexican Cartels drug grows in So. Oregon/ No. California. This particular one cost the county $40,000 to get to and clean up. They showed the butchered trees, holes in the ground, miles of irrigation with every manner of pesticide being used.
But NONE of that is a concern to the envirofreaks. Mexico has spread its organized crime all over this nation, not just Arizona. We cant go into the woods next to our homes!

Seven different Sheriffs from Southern Oregon are working together trying to uncover illegal marijuana grows. Deep in the Applegate, Sheriffs Deputies show us whats left of a grow.
We cant cover all of this, we do everything we can to try and locate these grows, at the earliest possible so we can deal with them so the public doesnt have to, said, Rod Countryman Undersheriff with the Jackson County Sheriffs Office
The site supplies across the nation and internationally. Officials say the two men arrested both had connections to mexican drug cartels. They also see a connection to harder drugs like cocaine, heroin, and meth.

This is a good one. Hedgecock played it on his show. On MSNBC, Sara Carter (investigator) and a border sheriff says the border patrol isnt even being allowed to get near the border in many places, mexican military incursions aiding smugglers and they talk about the threats to law enforcement and their families.
GOOD video. Short, worth watching.

But AuntB, everything is peachy along the Mexican border. Secretary Incompetano and Eric Holder and Dana Milbank say so, so it has to be true.

Oh...I hadn’t heard...I feel SO much better!!! Don’t you??
This video just burns me up,especially since we know Obama’s doing nothing to stop the invasion of our country.
These people that are repeat offenders need to face some serious penalties or else we’ll never get control of our country back.
If the Border Patrol can’t enter certain areas because the Mexican military is providing armed escort, as alleged, then this whole thing has gone way, way too far. We knew it was bad but this is WAAAY over the top.
Arizona, you’re on your own. The feds will not help you. But the American people will.
Armed volunteers will start arriving tomorrow if you invite us, Governor Brewer.
Just say the word.
Ping!

BTW, where has our Gubamyster friend been lately?
We need the Guard down there in force yesterday! They need ROEs to deal with the rogue Mexican military, the drug cartels, and the coyotes without remorse and deadly force.
I stand by this proposal:
A comprehensive proposal for US southern border enforcement

This situation is sickening and disgusting...and dangerous. And getting more so with each passing day. It is a vital National Security issue.
Good question!
I picked up the pings when he entered his busy season, and haven’t heard from him since.
