It's not very far from the Gaithersburg "Spice Cabinet."
No thankfully.
Was that what caused the thunder-like rumbling that I heard sometime late last night/early this morning?
I heard some thunder-like rumbling late last night or early this morning. I did not check the time. It could have been the quake, I suppose. I simply went right back to sleep.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
I jumped off the sofa at 5:05AM . Thunder rumbled and shook the windows. I did think it was a storm also.

What is up with all of this seismic activity? Earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, Indonesia, Southern California/Mexico, Canada, and now Maryland. Somebody’s not happy.
Reports from friends. One sleeping in Bethesda near DC line did not wake up. One awake, flat on back in bed north of DuPont Circle felt mild vibration/tremor, faint noise, like a heavy compressor/generator starting one story below. Five to 10 seconds, most likely 6 or 7.
My theory: We have had “earthquake weather”, very hot and dry. Then new moon tidal pull plus heavy rains to lubricate fault, and it slips. Maybe more with the full moon or the next new moon which has the stronger pull.
You’re welcome Godzilla.
What a hoot.
Perfect timing.
Lets see if the loony left actually starts with the Piercing of Mother Earths Skin is causing the earthquakes.
Thanks g.
God is watching.....
Maybe God will take charge of this afterall and have the entire East Coast slide into the Atlantic Ocean.

EAST coast?!
If he takes ANYWHERE on this coast before San Francisco (with the SINGULAR POSSIBLE exception of Washington DC) then God will have to apologize to Sodom & Gomorrah!

Forgive my ignorance — “Spice Cabinet?” Please explain...
“Gaithersburg Spice Cabinet”
A subdivision southeast of the epicenter, off of Mateny Road (where it intersects with Great Seneca Highway, Rt. 119). It has streets with these charming names:

Oh...LOL
Okay. I thought it might be some super secret government operation buried somewhere in the woods in Maryland.... Obviously I don’t know MUCH about Maryland!
Perhaps the man upstairs is trying to tell us something? Perhaps this is God’s way of warning us about the coming terror out of Washington?
What was perceived as an earthquake was a controlled underground demolition.
Possibly. Folks have the tendency to forget that whever there are mountains, there are fault lines. And when fault lines slip and slide against one another, you get earthquakes. Happens out west more often than hereabouts, as the fault lines there are newer, and more active, but the reality is that no fault line is ever completely stable, and lines which have been inactive for long periods of time can, and do, become more active once again...
