Palin aide swats Romney team
Politico ^ | Friday 7/16/10 | ANDY BARR

In potentially the first inter-staff dust up of the 2012 presidential race, an aide of Sarah Palin is hitting back at Mitt Romney’s camp for saying the former Alaska governor is “not a serious human being.”

Asked about the comments by POLITICO, a longtime Palin aide unloaded on Romney’s staff.

“It shocks me that anyone would try to do that,” the aide said. “You’d think we’d all be working together toward a common goal – that being 2010 – and that should be the focus right now. Those who try to claim the mantle of Reagan would be good to follow one of his most sacred tenets.”

“For Washington consultants to sit around and personally disparage the Governor anonymously to reporters is unfortunate and counterproductive and frankly immature,” the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity, continued.

Further, the Palin aide criticized Romney’s staff for launching into attacks focused on the 2012 Republican presidential primary rather than focusing on November’s midterm election.

“She’s not focused on promoting herself or disparaging other Republicans,” the aide said. The Republican Party is “not worried about 2012. We should be focused on 2010.”

“What she’s trying to do is turn the tide on the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda…She’s stated publicly that her goal is to turn the tide on Obama’s agenda starting in 2010,” the aide added. “We need to all come together in what should be a great year for us in November.”

The Palin adviser also jabbed at Romney for having changed some of his past positions and suggested that Romney does not have full “control” of his team.

“She’s not a finger-in-the-wind kind of leader. She supporting candidates who share her common sense values,” the aide said. “When you have a team of consultants and strategists that big it’s hard to control.

Althought this doesn't seem like an unloaded on Mitt per Politico...but more at a message of telling Mitt to focus on 2010 not 2012

The media is already trying to subliminally steer people towards certain potential Presidential candidates by constantly citing certain names in articles associated with the 2012 Presidential election including Palin, Romney, Gingrich, Hucakbee etc... God forbid the people actually choose their own candidates.

Glad to see that Governor Palin and those who support her still remember the year is 2010, not 2012, unlike Mitt and his people.

I think Palin should be able to deal with Romney the way my cat deals with a stuffed catnip mouse.

In soe of the various youtube videos of public debates during his Massachussetts career, he displays a staggering sense of entitlement and personal viciousness. I think he will attempt to undermine ANY nominee in 2012, after he loses the primary.

From the article: ...the Palin aide criticized Romney’s staff for launching into attacks focused on the 2012 Republican presidential primary...

Somebody on the Rombot staff has misjudged the '12 tea leaves...either that, or Mythster Romney himself has been listening to the non-prophet office in SLC that's been whispering in his ear, "The White Horse prophesy...Mitt, you must save the constitution...Mitt, do you hear me?"

Keep up the nonsense Man50D.

Like trying to claim the media is trying to setup the electorate for a Palin Nomination by constantly slurring, slamming, or outright lying about her, and somehow that will lead to people voting for her or the GOP nominating her.

You're PDS is showing again.

They are telegraphing who they fear, and it sure isn't some unnamed source or Myth, the Huckster, Newt "Global Warming" Gringich, Tim Pawlenty, Scott Brown, Jindal, etc.

The Romneyites have been out to get Palin ever since McCain preferred her to Mitt. THAT should not have surprised Romney since McCain obviously thought Romney too much of a pr... to be a comfortable fit for the old flyboy.

Leave it to Sarahbots to interpret a comment directed at the media involving several people, not singling out any particular person, only to spin into some sort of conspiracy against only your goddess. You Sarahbots are growing more paranoid by the thread.
