Scott Brown Slams Kathy Griffin for Calling Daughters 'Prostitutes'

July 16, 2010 Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown slammed comedian Kathy Griffin for making a crude joke about his two daughters.

Griffin, star of “My Life on the D List” made the comments on the Bravo network Tuesday night. The segment features Griffin being shown a photograph of Brown by two CNN reporters, John King and Dana Bash. Griffin identifies Brown in the picture, saying, “Scott Brown, who is a senator from Massachusetts and has two daughters that are prostitutes.” Bash erupts in laughter at Griffin’s comment.

But Brown wasn’t laughing, blasting Griffin and Bravo for the segment.

“People can call me any name they want, but families are off limits," he said in the statement made through spokeswoman Gail Gitcho. "I love my daughters Ayla and Arianna very much, and any parent would be proud to have them as children. Kathy Griffin and Bravo ought to be ashamed of themselves.”

At the end of the clip, Griffin runs a disclaimer “from Bravo’s legal team,” saying the girls are not, in fact, “prostitutes.”

Ayla Brown is a former NCAA basketball player and recording artist. She is now a contributor for CBS’ “The Early Show.” Arianna Brown is currently a pre-med student at Syracuse University.

Griffin also insults former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the segment, saying “Remember when the Republican’s tried to get that nutbag Sarah Palin to sound credible before the vice presidential debates? They had a board and ran flash cards to teach her the tough stuff, like there is both a North and South Korea. Well, that’s sort of like what John and Dana did for me.”

So far, has Scott Brown voted with the Republicans on ANY critical key vote to stop the socialist-commie pig 0bozo & his demoRAT wrecking crew? Next up.... Scott Brown votes for Elena Kagen to help bolster 0bozo from a judicial branch.

Projection on Griffin's part.

Griffin looks like every sleazy hooker I have ever run into. (never a customer!)

I give up - why do they call her a “comedian” ??

Well, she sure 'looks funny'.

Thus far, he's voted with the Democrats less than 20% of the time. He's announced that he will not support the Disclose Act and Card Check. As promised, he has not voted for a single piece of legislation that raised taxes. Without Scott Brown, this latest financial regulation bill would have raised almost $20 billion in NEW TAXES. Instead, the funding the program with already appropriated TARP funds. It's not perfect but it WAY BETTER than it would have been with a Democrat in that seat.

Will he vote for Kagan? Probably. But, a vote against Kagan in very liberal MA - especially considering Kagan has close ties to MA - is probably untenable. Remember, Brown has to stand for reelection in a year that Obama will be on the ballot. Irrespective of how unpopular Obama might be by then, he IS going to carry MA, handily.

Brown as a HUGE uphill fight to keep his seat. I suggest that it's far better to have a Senator from MA who votes for a Republican leader, Republican Committee Chairman and most Republican judges and who votes with Republicans 70-80% of the time, rather than someone who votes with the Democrats 100% of the time, and who votes for Democrat leader in the Senate.

Bob Newhart once said that most comedians are dark angry people at heart.

I believe he felt that way about Johnny Carson in particular.

For some reason my gut recoils even more at that woman’s face than it does at Helen Thomas’. I’ve not been able to put my finger on exactly why but I think it goes beyond just sleazy hooker.

You have a point, so I must remember not to denigrate hard working women everywhere.

For me, it is the pure sociopath quality of Griffin. I always think she belongs in jail.

Perhaps now Scott will realize that any vote for any socialist pacifist bill via the Dems, Obama, or any liberal anywhere will only get your family smeared, your votes challenged unless you keep voting like Teddy Kennedy or if you appease The Boston Globe. Scott, wake up pal. You only have two years to show that you love America more than Mass. liberalism.

Well said—in a sea of voices of naivite.

Kagan is likely to be confirmed even if every Republican were to vote against her. Brown may support her if that is the sentiment of Massachusetts—he stated from the outset that he was elected to represent the people of that state.

He is no potted plant.

Much of the financial bill will be determined by subsequent lobbying and legal challenges. If the Republicans had filibustered it, they would have been accused of blocking reform.

I have a friend who was raised in a yellow dog family but now is seeing the light. But he calls Palin a “bimbo”. You can imagine how much that infuriated me. But he won’t listen to reason. I just sent him an email of this to demonstrate how the leftists slime people.
