Circumstances may become dire, but God is still good and in charge.
Now, that being said...nothing wrong with any of the sentiments here on this thread...except the selling of the women into sexual slavery. LOL!
Dogs and cats are in some cases more than just pets.
Without cats, a rural home will more quickly be overrun with plague and pestilence.
Without dogs, the coyotes, wolves, bear, mountain lions, and other pests and predators will more quickly move in.
Overall, the admonishments in the article are very sensible.
You may be severely disappointed at the end of your daysI will be severely disappointed if the females at my door are not lithe and firm, or are wearing bras. They had the opportunity to prepare, but instead they spent $3000 a year on pedicures and weekly happy hours with their vapid, shallow friends. The thing is, no one can see their feet in my dark dungeon, so all that money spent was moot!
If she has no supplies and no worthwhile skills, in a complete collapse that's what she will eventually be.
Another thing about bugging out is that the cops/feds/jackbooted thugs will have check points on all the roads. Better be armed to the teeth when you get to one of those.
Ping.
That was how my legal immigrant great-grandparents survived the Depression! My grandpa shot rocksalt at shovel leaners one time. They decided to climb the cherry trees and eat the fruit during one of their breaks. That was the fruit that my ancestors used to make their liquor. When Pop told them to stop eating the cherries and get out of the trees, they wouldn’t listen. So, he had no choice but to shoot!
If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
1 Timothy 5:8
Or you can just have a few large water-cooler bottles, which have the advantage of being pre-sealed with good water.
Matthew 6:25-26, 31-34 (KJV):25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
If civilisation does collapse, everybody’s going to be treating Mel Gibson with more respect.
There are simple methods of collecting condensation that will provide water in survival amounts.
Keep in mind that looters can be turned into excellent dog food. Making them into jerky is optional.
I'm not really arguing against this thread... I think all that is being said is sound advice... but in the end (after I've stocked up and ammo'ed up and watered up) I believe that I will rely on the goodness of God to be the controlling thing in my life even when the SHTF.
Feel free to disagree with me. :>)
I’m going to stick with ‘God helps those who help themselves’.
Wood gas seems to be a good solution.
Readily available fuel without storage issues and its almost immediately available.
Once you have the system built, you can run your generator in less than 15 minutes.

I’m thinking steam powered electric generation.
I keed, I keed!
Another thing I’ve thought about is obtaining food without detection. If I fire my rifle to kill an animal, the sound will bring attention to myself. I think I might add a simple fishing rod to my survival stores.
Well, let’s hope who ever came up with that little gem knows what they are talking about. :>)
