JC WATTS AND ERICK ERICKSON JOIN PALIN, TANCREDO AND HANNITY

IN ENDORSING TIAHRT FOR US SENATE

WICHITA, KAN.-Todd Tiahrt’s U.S. Senate campaign today announced that former Oklahoma Congressman JC Watts has endorsed Todd Tiahrt for the U.S. Senate. Watts was one of the most prominent conservative members of the U.S. House of Representatives during his tenure and delivered the Republican response to President Clinton’s State of the Union address in 1997.

The Tiahrt campaign also announced that RedState.com editor, Erick Erickson, has endorsed Tiahrt in his U.S. Senate race. RedState.com is one of the most influential right-of-center blogs in the nation.

The Watts and Erickson endorsements come on the heels of several high profile conservative champions throwing their support behind Tiahrt, including Sarah Palin, Tom Tancredo, Sean Hannity and Karl Rove.

Watts said, “I’ve fought a lot of tough battles throughout my career, and there is no question Todd Tiahrt is the kind of genuine leader I want fighting with me to get our country moving in the right direction. Todd has consistently put his constituents first by fighting for lower taxes, against special constitutional rights for terrorists and against Washington’s spending deficits that are putting us into further debt with foreign countries.”

Moran is the Liberal.

Tiahrt is the Conservative.

There is no honest argument about it!

Watts took off the race-blinders now and doesn’t support obama’s policies?

“Watts supported the Iraq War in 2003, stating: “America did not become the leader of the free world by looking the other way to heinous atrocities and unspeakable evils.”[40] He was later hired as a political commentator by CNN[34] and following the 2006 House election, Watts argued the Republican party had lost seats because it failed to address the needs of urban areas and did not offer a positive message. He stated: “We lost our way, pure and simple.”[41]

In 2008, Watts announced he was developing a cable news network with the help of Comcast, focusing on a black audience,[42] and that he considered voting for Barack Obama, criticizing the Republican party for not practicing outreach to the black community.[43] Reports showed he contributed to John McCain, but not to Obama.[44]”

Watts is a great guy, I have talked to him, personally, several times.

If even 10% of the Black community started talking and thinking like JC Watts, the Democrats could never win control of the country, ever again.

We have all been upset with the Republican Party, over various issues. Watts had every right to bring up his issues, with Party leadership.

Watts said he “thought” about it.

He did not DO it!

Can you imagine the pressure on any Black person to vote against the first Black President?

Watts wrote a check to McCain and not to Obama.

That tells me that Watts voted for McCain.

For Heaven's sake folks, look at the endorsement list, for TIAHRT!

Tiahrt is the Conservative in this Kansas Senate race.

This is about an ELECTION!

Watts believes in ECONOMIC GROWTH because that is what the urban areas need the most.

Watts was upset at the Republican Party for turning away from economic growth policies. So were many of us!

Look at the list of endorsements, for TIAHRT:

Palin
Hannity
Tancredo
Kansans for Life
Tea Party Express

Tiahrt is the conservative!

No sir.
He supported McCain. He said he considered Obama. He endorsed and contributed to McCain...not Obama.

That is NOT true!

Why on Earth would Watts contribute to McCain, if he voted for Obama?

That did not happen!

“Dear Kansan,

In February of this year I endorsed Congressman Jerry Moran for the United States Senate.

I came to this difficult conclusion after receiving untrue and incomplete information from the Moran for Senate campaign and Congressman Moran himself.

After independent research, I have learned disturbing information about Congressman Moran’s support of amnesty and benefits for illegal immigrants.

He voted against my amendment to defund sanctuary cities, essentially granting amnesty to all illegal immigrants in each of those cities.

Congressman Moran also voted with Nancy Pelosi to remove citizenship verification for illegal immigrants to receive welfare benefits.

Then he raised your taxes to pay for those health care benefits.

Congressman Moran even opposed money to secure our borders and build the fence.

In addition to hiding his own record, Congressman Moran distorted and maligned Congressman Todd Tiahrt’s record on illegal immigration. Congressman Tiahrt has been innovative in his approach to sealing the borders, written legislation to close loopholes so you and I don’t pay for benefits to illegal immigrants, and led the charge to keep tough immigration laws at the forefront of the debate in Congress when so many others are letting President Obama take the lead.

Because I care about the burden illegal immigration places on this country, I am withdrawing my endorsement of Congressman Moran and proudly endorsing Congressman Todd Tiahrt.

If you care about the damage illegal immigration does to our society, I hope you can join me in supporting and voting for Congressman Todd Tiahrt.

Congressman Tom Tancredo”

You two can deny he voted for Obama all you want - the man made too many comments about the historic election, blah blah, even thinking about it - he battled the crowds and cold to see Obama sworn into office. He voted for him

Well, I do not believe that JC Watts voted for Obama.

Why on Earth would he write a check to McCain, if that was true?

But, even if you are right, on this one, do we not WANT to bring JC Watts BACK to the GOP?

There are a great many Black Republicans. Many of them DID vote for Obama.

Most of those Black Republicans are now very disappointed, in Obama.

Do you want to WIN?

This is MATH, we need to ADD to our numbers, not subtract!

As long as those who come on board are not pushing liberal policy, we should accept them with open arms!

And, Red State endorsed TIAHRT as well, remember?
