In a video hitting the blogosphere today, real ordinary citizens tell their side of the Gulf oil crisis. Project Shining City has created the thirty-two minutes long video. Embedded inside it are shocking revelations about how the Obama administration and BP are ignoring a hurting people.
As this film was created around Day 81, BP had not completed the capping of the well. Even though the cap appears to be holding today, the devastation of 87 days of spewing oil will have repercussions for the entire U.S. and for years to come.

Thanks for the ping. This is so tragic and frustrating. I thought I knew the depth of MSM depravity, but I didn’t have a clue. The degree to which they have covered up the suffering in the Gulf and Obama’s incompetence and active complicity stagger me. All I can do is pray. You must be right. I guess the MSM saw, correctly, that even the little bit of accurate reporting they did about the spill dragged Obama’s numbers down. The word must have gone out, knock it off. And they did. It still staggers me, though. I thought an environmental disaster was the one thing the MSM would still report on. I was wrong.
That video sucked. 25 minutes of loud, LOUD, off topic music, with about 5 minutes of faint whispered talking. I gave up after 10 minutes. Edit out the pointless, NON-cajun or zyedco music and show the actual interviews.
At this point, any information on video that is putting the plight of the victims of the spill in front of America is worth putting out there. The administration needs to have its own *ss kicked.

I got most of the way through it and while the effort of these people should be applauded, it left alot to be desired. I wish we could get some real professionals down there to make another one. They could splice in some real testimony from some of the hearings that CSPAN is showing in the middle of the night while everyone is asleep. I have a hard time sleeping sometimes and have been watching it. Unreal tales of incompetence by the government and BP being testified to, yet the media won’t even cover that easy news. The whole thing is criminal!! Obama should be impeached over this crap! It has been botched from day 1 by a government that cares more about cramming down their marxist agenda than they do the people living and now dying down on the coast.
It’s truly unreal. Our media and politicians are so corrupted we have no-one to tell the damn truth anymore.
BTW..Where has Bobby Jindal been lately? Who or what put the muzzle on him? I really thought he was going to take it to this administration, but he’s been silenced now it would appear. Same thing with all the Gulf Coast governors and elected officials. I could go on and on ranting but what good would it do? We are living in a dictatorship now and nobody cares!

Yep. They “report” on nothing, except if it helps their political or sometimes even personal agenda. It’s obvious that the US does not have a free press anymore...
I suggest that citizens in the area document, document, document, everything they possibly can. Water samples, soil samples, pictures, video, dead marine life, etc.
A little off topic and a completely clueless question, but can someone explain to me why gas prices seem to skyrocket every time the gulf evacuates for a few days for hurricanes, yet now, when bazillions of gallons of oil are lost, the gas prices haven’t changed?

On last night’s blog radio, all of them were on explaining that the situation in the gulf is dire. People need to leave the gulf, but they do not have the money and many are dependent on BP for income now.
Kindra was a guest on last night’s program. She is setting up a fund so that people without the means CAN leave the Gulf.

Thanks for the links. The girl in that last link is a communist that voted for Obama. Her friend in the hearings last week said so just before he played his stupid guitar for the panel. I almost feel sorry for them. They are coming to a painful realization that communism doesn’t work..never has..never will. This whole thing is Obama’s fault. The government (by law) was responsible for mitigating this damage and they have dropped the ball from DAY ONE. They have either done it on purpose or by incompetence..both of which should require Obama’s resignation or impeachment.

I have been reading EPA and various other oil spill testimony all morning and have come to one conclusion....Lisa Jackson’s head should be on a proverbial pike. She should be fired ASAP.Same thing with Thad Allen. Of course the real person that should resign is, ‘I have been in charge from day one’ Obama.
His administration has done a horrendous job responding to this spill. The federal government has been criminally negligent in their response to this spill and it’s way past time for heads to roll....starting with Obama and his ‘team’. They were required by law to mitigate and start cleaning up this spill IMMEDIATELY...regardless of what BP did or did not do. They have billions of dollars in supposed trust funds to do just that. But instead...like the chicago thugs that they are..they ran around doing nothing but hitting up BP for slush funds and making a mockery of true transparency. They should have mobilized to clean this crap up and worried about the money later. I want to see a full accounting of the Oil Liability Trust Fund. WHERE IS THE DAMN MONEY?
I encourage my fellow FReepers to start calling your congresscritters and demanding answers and accountability of the bureaucrats. Lisa Jackson needs to go ASAP. It’s time to raise some righteous hell with these bureaucractic clowns. They are nothing but lazy assed shills for the democrats and Obama. They are clueless about their jobs and responsibilities under the law.
BTW..Remember the WHALE skimmer ship that we were so hopeful about? It appears that because Lisa Jackson’s EPA allowed BP to use the dispersants in the first place, it made it impossible for this ship to work the way it was intended. If the oil had been allowed to float to the surface..most of this oil could have been recaptured and NONE OF THIS ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER HAD TO HAPPEN.
BTW 2..WHO IN THE HELL ARE THESE RIDICULOUS CLEAN-UP CREWS? They ‘work’ 15 minutes at a time and then take a break for 45 minutes. There is testimony that they use 3 people to one stupid bag for cryin out loud! Are they trucking them in from local prisons ala Van Jone’s wishes? We know many of them are criminals and thugs already. WHATEVER THEY ARE, THE LOCALS SAY,THEY AREN’T DOING THE WORK. People’s homes have been robbed and several rapes have occured in places that had no crime before they showed up.There is other testimony that these ‘vessels of opportunity’ are doing nothing but riding around dragging the skimmers in no disernable fashion.
ALSO..CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THE EPA IS FORCING VACUUMING BOATS TO USE NO BIGGER THAN A 4” HOSE? We have a gulf full of damn oil and the government is forcing them to yes..SUCK IT UP WITH A STRAW. It would appear to me that this whole thing has been botched on purpose from the very beginning. NOBODY CAN BE THIS STUPID....can they?!
