Nope. We have a regular city backyard, with a (stupid) pool in the middle of it. They DO, however, have many tennis balls and I have a good arm. ;)

I take them walking, to school playgrounds after hours to play ball...they’re doing just fine.

I’m SO sorry to hear that yours is getting on up there. There is probably nothing harder than having to say goodbye. I don’t envy you. Four years ago this month we did that with my first GSD. I turned right around and got a puppy. NOT to replace the first but to fill that void in my heart.

As God would have it, I found the breeder right before I had to put my dog down, and one of hers was just pregnant. I had 6 weeks to mourn one and look forward to the new baby. I haven’t regretted it for one second. :)

I agree. I will be looking shortly after we loose her, but my wife may be even more difficult to comfort. Being a paraplegic, Hershee and her have been attached at the hip since we got her because my wife is always home.

I may have to just bring the new dogs home as puppy’s and not tell her ahead of time. I pray I have awhile yet to think about it, but everyday I see her shake with small tremors as if she has Parkinson’s and I am reminded about the short time we have together.

Have a good evening, time for bed. I’m an early riser these days and an early bedtime guy.

God bless you.
