We know more about the Tiger Woods sex scandal than our own president

Monty Pelerin

The cornerstone of a democracy or any representative government is an informed public. The U.S. Founding Fathers recognized the importance of an enlightened citizenry and saw fit to codify it in the very First Amendment.

How important they considered the press is apparent when is is recognized that they provided it equal protection to religion, freedom of speech, assembly and petition:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Arguments regarding bias in the press are rife. Conservatives are positive that the press is liberal (and most surveys agree), while liberals just know the press is conservative. Predispositions and visions color both group's assessments.

An email forwarded to me included the following discussion. The author is unknown, although I thought it put the arguments regarding bias, competence, etc. into better perspective than any formal analyses I have seen:

I think it is remarkable that within a week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom Tiger has had an affair. In the last few years, with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc. And, they not only knew the cause of the family fight, but they even knew it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade. Not only that, they knew which wedge!

And each and every day, they gave America more updates on his sex-rehab stay, his wife's plans for divorce, and the dates and tournaments he will play in.

Obama has been in office for over a year now, and this same press:

· Still cannot find any of his childhood friends or neighbors,

· Or locate any of Obama's college papers or grades,

· Or how he paid for a Harvard education,

· Or which country issued his visa to travel to Pakistan in the 1980's,

· Or Barry Soretoro or even Michelle Obama's Princeton thesis on racism.

· They just can't seem to find them.

· Yet the public still trusts that same press to give them the whole truth !

Truly remarkable!

” Our press has done more damage to our republic than Osama Bin Laden ever dreamed of doing! It’s like we live in the old Soviet Russia now. “

Breitbart is right on the money. After November, the Tea Parties should attack and picket the MSM for their bare-faced lies. Use Alinsky. Isolate them, and ridicule them!

What you said, BTTT. Plus, I hope the House Republicans will speak out forcefully.

Cut the polite crap. Just tell it like it is.

We know the Senate Republicans won’t unless Senator Rand Paul leads the way.

All you’re supposed to know about your President is that “He won.”. Trying to know any more than that is treason/heresy.

Truly, the Man from Nowhere. No tracks, no roots, no history, no records, no transcrips, no one who remembers him, no friends, no neighbors.

‘The Manchurian President’, the book by Aaron Klein, is an apt name for this shadowy figure.

I am sure they would be produced if necessary.

Tiger Woods plays golf; who cares?

Obama is the CIC of the USA . He is the most powerful man in the world. It is important for Americans to know who this man is, what his background is, and more importantly, just what he has been hiding all these years.

I think the more important question is what country’s passport, and under what name was he using to travel to Pakistan.

How politically incorrect. Someone will be around to see to it that you get re-educated. Please insure that nothing unfortunate happens to them.

Arguments regarding bias in the press are rife. Conservatives are positive that the press is liberal (and most surveys agree), while liberals just know the press is conservative. Predispositions and visions color both group's assessments.

That's because libs echo the meme that "corporations are inherently capitalist".

Anyone paying attention can observe many million and billion dollar Marxists.

Whether it is Bill Gates' foundation or your own office's internal "political re-education" programs to enlighten employees on gay pride month and the dangers of man-made global warming.

The Politburo in Soviet Russia weren't poor either.

Dittos!

It’s way past time that we turned our ire to the corrupt media in this country. I say we start investigating them and follow the money. They are not just reporting the way they do because they are ideologically in simpatico with the libs and marxists. They are being paid to write the way they do by someone somewhere. We know they aren’t making money selling their papers, yet they don’t go bankrupt. Very strange if you ask me.

That’s true which is why it’s mind blowing. Why are the billionaires and their foundations always supporting Marxists-Communist causes?

“Why are the billionaires and their foundations always supporting Marxists-Communist causes?”

Good question. It has to be because they stand to make money off of crony capitalism. We know that’s the case with GE/NBC et al. Same thing with Soros and Gore. It’s all a great big sham and rip off of the American taxpayer.

Of course.

But letting some people use words is dangerous.

” Why are the billionaires and their foundations always supporting Marxists-Communist causes? “

Or Fascist causes. Have you seen the movie” Meet John Doe” ? There you have what today would be a billionaire seeking power through the appeal of a populist rube. Billionaires already have wealth, so I have to presume the only thing they lack is more and more POWER. Ted Turner was one of the few billionaires to OPENLY advocate turning American sovereignty over to the United Nations.

Soros wants to rule the world as a leftist dictator, and lord over the world economy, and us peasants.
