The top secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.
These are some of the findings of a two-year investigation by the Washington Post that discovered what amounts to an alternative geography of the United States, a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.

America is actually in trouble. Very few are talking about it.The institutions that would usually keep a watch on such things have been taken over by leftist nationalist socialists, such as the ACLU and the NAACP. The press is traduced and cannot even tell fact from fiction. Each of us is pretty much on their own.
The Nov. 2d election will tell the tale of a fallen America, ,or one which rejects the nationalist socialist utopia.
This whole ‘expose’ was done with the approval of the Obama Administration. Why you may ask? This is going to be the excuse for Obama and the democrats to gut our military,CIA, NSA and various other intelligence and defense programs. They do it everytime they get in power. This is all a big ruse to give the marxists cover to slash defense spending and ‘spread the wealth’ to their cronies.
0bamao is sharing our secrets, like number of warheads, with his comrades as fast as he can. It’s only the American people who are not allowed to know what the government has about them.
They have passed the health bill, they have passed the financial regulations bill and they have snuck stuff into the stimulus package bills. They are going to track your money and your body. Here's the first few things they are doing. This is step one. It will only get worse from here.
Dem Traitors know that many in those fields cannot be "controlled" so they want to destroy their effectiveness. There are elements of those services that you should be cautious when jabbing with a stick. "RecordsGate" is long long overdue.
Not to quibble too much, but, it would be nice if Obama was a little ‘nationalist’.
As it is, he is not, nor is any party.
There is no party looking out for America. Nationalism, as putting America first, is dead.
Also, the build up in contracts and security is not to keep America safe, but to expand the big brother society; both parties are responsible for that as well.

Dana Priest and William Arkin have long history of leaking vital national security secrets, as well as publishing agit-prop to advance their own causes.
The Washington Post’s Dana Priest received the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for beat reporting “for her persistent, painstaking reports on secret ‘black site’ prisons and other controversial features of the government’s counterterrorism campaign.” Never mind that to this day there is no evidence that these ‘secret CIA prisons’ ever existed.
But perhaps Dana Priest has her own agenda. She is a ‘peace scholar’ for the United States Institute of Peace. She is also married to William Goodfellow, who is the Executive Director of the the Center for International Policy (CIP).

Now, it has another mission. Fenton has established a “war room” with CIP called The Iraq Policy Information Program (IPIP). Its main job is getting the anti-Bush foreign policy message out to the media and providing guests for talk shows. A featured speaker of the IPIP is former ambassador Joe Wilson, one of the Bush administration’s most vocal enemies.
Like Moveon.org and Win Without War, the contact for the Iraq Policy Information Program is Fenton Communications. Win Without War also collects tax-deductible donations through CIP.

Mel Goodman is a member of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), which is an organization that pleads with former and current CIA officers to break their oaths and leak secrets that would hurt our national security.
William Arkin has a similar background.
Arkin is a former Greenpeace “researcher.” He has also worked for the radical left Institute for Policy Studies and Human Rights Watch, and even the notorious leftwing fantasist, Seymour Hersh.
In fact, Mr. Arkin considers himself more of an activist than a journalist. (Not that there is any discernible difference in our one party media.)

She’s got me on more than 10 counts.
America in trouble is an understatement. It’s on life support and the plug is about to be pulled. I have no intention of waiting for it to happen. Without freedom, without the values and capitalism that made America great, it’s just another piece of land. Now don’t take that to mean that I don’t love my country and I would be at the front lines defending her but seriously, I love life and life is short. I refuse to live like this, being watched, being called the enemy by these Pinko Chicago Muslim loving thugs. I refuse to fund or participate in death care. I’m out of here the first of the year.

Candor, they won’t resist. If it didn’t happen after death care was thrust upon them by lying, cheating, bribes, etc. it’s not going to happen. I think a gun grab would only be resisted by a few and they would be quickly dealt with and it would be shown all over the news. Fear would set in and they would willingly turn them over. We would be in short order, a Venezuela or Cuba.
This is not imaginary or theoretical, it is born out by the activity of our executive branch in refusing to secure our borders, allowing illegal aliens to enter, and refusing to prosecute the NBPP for election violations in Pennsylvania.No mistake about it. It means one set of laws for racial and ethnic minorities, and another for Caucasians and those who fail to support this black power /ethnic nationalism. It is used to found the governments refusal to enforce laws now on the books.
That's the nationalism of which I speak, as a matter of political analysis, not patriotic nationalism of which we are now so aggravated about, our governments wrongly relegating it to the scrap heap of history, a treasonous travesty.
Such black power /ethnic nationalism, when combined with a policy of "historic justice and reparations" leads to a redistribution of wealth using the otherwise legitimate government power to tax.That's socialism.
Now combine the two: nationalist socialism, that is fascism. And essentially Jonah Goldberg wrote a well annotated history book about it: "Liberal Fascism, The Secret History of America's Left. From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning" ( meaning = political correctness/propaganda).

There’s a lot to be said on all sides about this. It’s true that our intelligence agencies have been corrupted and beaucratized over the years, beginning with the Vietnam fallout and the Church Commission. Jimmy Carter. Bill Clinton. And others.
Then after 9/11, Bush simply piled more levels of bureaucracy on the top, without really fixing any of the agencies and weeding out the deadwood and the leftist underminers.
Predictably, instead of weeding out the problems, Obama will fire any remaining good guys and turn the entire mess into a political boondoggle. Much the way he did with the GM and Crysler dealerships. Fire all the Republicans and the conservatives and spread the money around to his thugs.
Washington D.C. truism: Anything that can be done wrong will be.
I had to check DU for their reaction to this same article. Not one of them questions why this remains, much less grows, during the time when their party is in complete control.
At least people on here admit Republicans screwed up with too much spending. They recently had a big update to the rules there that even questioning democrats (which would include, of course, anything happening they don’t like going on now) is verbotin. Really twisted place.

My dear friend’s son is ‘employed’ by Americorps, or some such spelling. My friend, a Limbaugh conservative, loves his son dearly and supports him, no matter where he roams.
And, I respect that as a Father’s right.
I’ve discovered that the little tree-hugger is paid a small monthly stipend from the government, (our taxes) that is small enough to allow him to get food stamps (our taxes). And a free fishing license (our taxes).
Jr. and your’s truly have never seen eye-to-eye and I’m fairly certain that he has placed me on some list that will later be used when the poop hits the prop in this country...
What he doesn’t know is that I’m actually a lot smarter than he is (though he tells me the opposite) and I’m way ahead of him....
