I was not necessarily being a smartass or unsympathetic to Beck, being I do like him and his message, but I am like you and I suspect Beck is no different, old age is setting in and typically the first thing to go ‘bad’ is the eyesight. ;-)

Beck is 46. Old age? Ouch, he’s two years younger than me :-(.

There’s a far fry from eyesight going to going completely blind.
Lots of old people lose some eyesight.
Beck is in his 40s, and we are not talking about losing some, but going blind.
HUGE difference.

I looked up his possible condition on the fly and it seems like it affects the cornea. If that's the case, if it gets bad, why don't he get a cornea transplant and have it fix and go on. I might be missing something here but I'm just tossing this out for discussion.
