Could it be that we are watching the final unraveling of the old and well-worn playbook of the Left and the ruling class?
One of the oldest tactics is the inevitable shouts of racism which is designed to not only distract the opposition but to mobilize minorities seems now to be no longer effective. The NAACP has been exposed for the hypocritical organization that it is. The election of a black President, who chooses to tacitly condone rhetoric to keep the races at odds with each other, has ironically released much of the population from the guilt for the country's past sins. It is now obvious to an overwhelming majority of the population that any country that could elect a black man as President and have the black representation on the list of wealthy entertainers and athletes is not a racist country.

The left may be unraveling for the moment but it always comes back in another form. (Just like an ugly monster in a movie.)
IMHO
These are encouraging words. I pray every day that God would deliver our country from the evil that afflicts us and raise up Godly leaders.
Like what is the deal with groups complaining about cards that refer to black holes...as in the gravitational giant sucking sounds in space being racist, just because it has the word black in it?!
We should all take heart. The shouts of ‘racist!’ are the death rattle of leftism. But as someone else said, it will re-emerge in another form - unless we drive a stake through it’s heart.
ripley,
You beat me to it! But to put it another way evil never dies, it just changes form.
And to keep evil at bay you must destroy its followers.
That all depends on us, We The People. If we win in November then fail to keep up the pressure on the left AND the GOP then it's back to business as usual.
“...and to keep evil at bay, you must destroy its followers....”
Devour their psyches with the truth.
Even so, the damage they have done along with the Socialist Democrats will be decades long, if it EVER gets reversed.
the Libtards are growing very restless and are about to turn on Obama. Watch this Elizabeth Warren appointment case very carefully. They appear poised to unload on him if he chooses anybody else for that job.
In regard to this oversold "Republican Takeover" in 2010: it's bullshiite.
Where's the Program?
Where's the Plan?
Where's the Leader?
Instead of congratulating each other on merly recognizing this disaster, we (who are in truth about 25% of the electorate) would be better off in holding "Republican" feet to the fire to reverse The Obama Program, Plan, and Leadership before it begins the end of this Republic.
Well, they dumped The Blob in Antarctica. That seems to have worked.
(We miss you, Steve McQueen!)
“’Rupublican Takeover’ in 2010: it’s bullshiite.”
Has the ring of truth to it, but I can still hope for the best.
Bump that to the sky! The Repubs must commit to repeal the so-called health care reform and finance reform in their entirety. But also they must take it a step further and offer their own health care reform and finance reform. And that ain't all.
I will probably be immolated for suggesting that our republic, as we know it, is in an irrevocable , steady, and rapid decline. The Liberals have won (donning asbestos underwear). Unless the right is willing to commit time, talent and treasure to genuinely reversing the progress of the statists, the Repubs will always be fighting a rear-guard and retreating fight. Forbid!
There will have to be at least one constitutional amendment that must pass- hopefully, more than one. As to which ones and what priority given, I will leave that for another discussion. But here are a few suggestions in no special order:
Reverse the income tax to a sales tax.
Clarify the position on anchor babies.
Clarify the commerce clause
Reiterate the 2nd amendment
Balance budget amendment, with teeth
Others?
The idea is to LIMIT the federal government.
I must now admit a mistake of many years standing. I had confused the "Right" with the Republican Party. No longer. The Official Republican Party has now joined the Democrat Party in proclaiming that it is the role of government to "Help People." That ultimately cynical attitude has sunk every democracy in recorded history; i.e., that point at which those in power realize they can stay in power by writing checks on the public treasury to those who will vote for them to remain in power and keep writing the checks. Where are we now? About 50% getting the checks or the breaks, and about 50% paying the taxes.
Repubs will always be fighting a rear-guard and retreating fight. And that, my Republican Friends, is exactly the way our official GOP likes it ... picking up their share of the swag with each backward step. 2010? Just a chance to get a better seat at the big poker table in DC ... unless WE figure out what to do about it.
Think of the Revolution. 25% patriots. 30% Tories. and 45% wondering what the hell was going on until after Yorktown, and then lining up for the freebies.
Fasten your seatbelts. The next 15 years ain't gonna be a smooth ride. And stayed armed.
I think we are on the same page. It is my hope that the Tea Parties do not lose steam after this 2010 election and even build more steam. Perhaps they can brance to more activists roles such as lobbying state governments when, hopefully, constitutional amendments come their way.
If one or two state governors would step up, revitalize their legislatures, and start running a tighter ship, it would have an enormous impact.
One of the great mistakes of our history, IMO, was the amendment allowing popular vote for Senators. If that could be righted, it would be of enormous benefit to constitutional process.
How about Governor Christie of New Jersey?
