Black racism a real problem? Or is it pure politics?

Shirley Sherrod was dismissed from her Agriculture Department job because remarks she made about her dealings with a white farmer almost a quarter century ago were perceived as racist. She was offered her job back Wednesday because a full viewing of that speech showed it to be a tale of racial reconciliation.

But put aside the furor and confusion over the employment of the black woman who headed the USDA's rural development office in Georgia. The Sherrod affair brings to the fore a simmering debate over whether black racism is cause for concern in America under its first black president.

During the campaign, Barack Obama was forced to address the blistering racial remarks of his former pastor. Since then, there have been complaints that Barack Obama presides over an administration that is racial, not post-racial - when he supported a black Harvard professor who was arrested by a white police officer, or when the Justice Department dismissed most charges against a group of black militants accused of intimidating voters.

"If the Justice Department is really not interested in pursuing cases against blacks who violate whites' civil rights and only go after whites who violate blacks' rights, that is a major problem," says William Stogner, a 46-year-old telecommunications technician who lives in St. Louis.

Growing up in the 1970s, Stogner was often called "cracker" by black kids in his grandparents' East St. Louis neighborhood. Last April, while walking to his car after a tea party rally, he says he heard the same epithet from a group of young black men. To Stogner, black and white racism are equivalent: "To me it's bad no matter where it originates."

By the time I heard the ‘rest of her speech’ I was convinced she continues to live in the house of hatred every day all day.

That's because liberals think of racism in terms of whether the speaker holds power or not. Apparently, to liberals, ALL "whites" have "power" while "blacks" are just beginning to wield it in limited situations (such as the President and any appointments made during his term). It's goofy, stupid, convoluted, and makes sense only if you understand Liberal pretzel logic.

I am not talking about every black person but as a whole, the current population, as a whole with all of their big gov. beliefs, the “give me” attitude, they along with hispanics destroy, rape and pillage our towns and cities, and that my friends is a fact.

Now I have to disagree. I lived in a predominately black city for 20+ years. It is not about race, but class. All races get caught up in the Gimme of government programs. Those neighborhoods are bad because of the crime that follows.

Well, the proof that I have seen in my vast years of living and witnessing, they are not peace loving people who want all people to live a happy. In a nutshell, Blacks have been indoctrinated into hating white males and the white race for that matter. That is one of the reasons that they go after all the white girls that want attention. You speak to somebody who lived in Bronx, NY back in the 50's and 60's and see how much better it was back then, My wife grew up in the Bronx, and I have seen 8mm that her dad took when she was growing up; it is not the same place. It was not destroyed by its white inhabitants and that's a fact. I'll give you that white, leftist politicians destroyed it but we all know that. Multi cultualism, as caused this. May home town of Martinez, CA is being destroyed by illegals that only want to embrace the mexican hetitage instead of embracing all that is Red, White and Blue. If what they have to offer America is how great the mexico is, then why did they leave it. Do you ever ask yourself that. And if Africa is such a wonderful place and you want to call yourself a hyphanated- American; you want to dress in african garb why don't you all be heroic and pack up and move back to where you came. No one is holding you back. America is the Greatest country in the world and that is why people come here. There is opportunity.

In closing, I'll tell you a little story. MY wife and I went to a place called peekskill, NY to a little tea house with some friends and we were walking from the train and some little black girl comes running out of her house and she said to me, "Mr. White man, don't you take my bike", and that was the last time that I ever went to that dump; again, not a dump because of it's last few white inhabitants.
