About 4:20 p.m., a man approached a female employee in the American Express travel service office at 605 N. Michigan Ave. at first trying to buy euros and showing her a gun in his waistband as he demanded money, said Near North District Captain Leo Crotty."
SNIPPET: "The man, described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and possibly of Middle Eastern descent, went on to instruct all the office employees they had three minutes to hand over all the money they had, Crotty said.
Police believed the robber made off with 15,000 euros in addition to other currency, Crotty said."

According to the article he demanded euros and took off with about $19,000 in euros and other currency.
Because he had a gun in the waistband and the victim actually saw the gun.
However, calling the suspect a gunman and a possible bombman wouldn’t be out of order.

I think this was a mistake due toa language barruer.
The guy prolly got so many 'Pre Approved' AX junk mailers for all their different Credit Cards, he thought the money was already his.

Mayor Shortshanks will order another 25 men for his personal praetorian guard, and then demand the decimation of every tenth person at American Express for allowing a gun into the building.
Another Middle Eastern lunatic going jihad on innocents. At least nobody was hurt or worse.
