Weather service warns of excessive heat this weekend

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh this morning issued a special weather statement that warns residents across the region to be prepared for extreme hot and humid conditions Friday and Saturday.

Yeah I get you point..but up hrtr in “Yankeeland” usually, when we get the heat, we also get the high humidity. I’ll take a dry 93 degree day, over a humid 80 degree day, any time.

No kidding, the humidity here in the north country has been horrible lately.

I got fish swimming past my livingroom winder.

Same here in the Ozarks. And to think, people are freezing to death in South America! Must be Globull warming! But then, it may just be summer here and winter there!

Amen to that. It got up to 98 here Tuesday, but by 6pm it didn't feel so bad although the temp was still around 94. 6pm weatherman said the humidity was only 67%. I could definitely tell the difference.

Update! Heat index is only supposed to be 106 today. Humidity is high enough that you can see haze. Going to get a break Sat and Sun however. Darn it. Going to have to mow.
