Former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod said Thursday that she would consider legal action against the conservative blogger who posted the video that led to her ouster.

Speaking on CBS' Early Show, Sherrod said that while she hasn't actively talked about suing Andrew Breitbart, she "would definitely consider it."

Sherrod said that Breitbart's intentions were obvious - but misguided.

I felt bad for her, but not now that it turns out she’s nothing but a partisan hack.

The tape wasn’t about you, Sherrod you idiot.

Did I miss something?

Did Breitbart fire her?

Did he even accuse her of anything?

Were these not her own words, context or not?

ah yes now we can all see that she is a victim and deserves money for her own racism and stupidity. Finally Affirmative Action has been outed as a joke. These people including Obama have set race relations back 75 years and they are too ignorant to see it. The race card has disappeared from the deck.

Sherrod is setting herself up for a lawsuit against the Feds.

Someone here said...she's done it before. Something like a $13 Million windfall for her.....

We will be paying her again...I'd guess.

She may have signed a release permitting them to film her.

Where's her hubby??....He's the "connected" activist. Or are they split up??

Actually, I heard him on an old video...he was impressive. He's been through a lot....I think he's good like Martin Luther King.

Unfortunately...that card is still there.

And will continue to be played...as long has it's got juice. And like it or not...it still does.

Andrew would LOVE this! But, then, she’d have to have grounds to sue and besides him being a white conservative, there are none.

I’m not a lawyer but I think the idea would be that he presented her in a false light and therefore defamed her.

Just my guess here, the problem is she’s a public figure and hasnt got a penny in damages.

That will happen when George Allen successfully sues the Washington Post for the “macaca” moment.

I’m sure that he’s just one on a long list of suits she’s got planned.

No one snookered Breitbart. The point of showing the video was the reaction of the NAACP members and leadership present as she told her story of shorting a “white” farmer and turning him over to a lawyer of his “kind.” They cheered and applauded her institutional racism! If I were Breitbart, I’d be saying bring on the lawsuit, idiot!!

Oh, you mean like what Media Matters and MSNBC does to various conservatives about fifty times a day?

As everyone else has said, she has no actionable claim again Beirbart (IMHO).

I bet that once she really talks to a lawyer she’ll find out she should be suing the Fed Govt for wrongful termination. She’ll settle for $$$$.... (IMHO).

This will bring more bad press to the NAACP and US government in general (IMHO).

Sue yourself, you brain-dead b!tch! Those were YOUR words, NOT Andrew Breitbart’s! Good freaking grief! Now I HAVE heard it all...at least until the next mind-numbingly stupid actions from these leftist morons. With apologies to morons.

Shirley Sherrod doesn’t understand libel law. The plaintiff has to prove calculated malice on the part of the defendant. In this case whatever damage may have occurred was reversed in less than a day. The White House and Agriculture Secretary inflicted that damage. Also, Sherrod became a public figure in Georgia years ago as a black activist farmer. She recently received a settlement from the decades old discrimination suit against the USDA which Obama settled in favor of the aggrieved farmers.
