Good points.
I just don’t see anyone who can avoid that type of fight in the GOP, because I don’t see any great unifying figure out there at this time.
If it comes down to “anyone but Obama Hussein” I’m pretty sure that we will lose just like Kerry did.

You all remember when the time comes that it was Mitt Romney who was so proud of the fact that he was the one to shove this mess down our throats. Now they can’t control it.

Mitt's an intelligent man. I think he thought he could campaign in 2008 on having solved the healthcare problem, knowing or suspecting that the problems in his solution would show up years later. Obama copied that approach with Obamacare, taxing now, but having the benefits take effect four years later. Of course, part of the reason for that was to game the CBO scoring, which didn't look more than 10 years out.

I hpe everyone realizes this in 2012 and sits Mitt down early. MassCare was in my opinion a very cynical move on his part.
