PALM BAY, Fla. -- A 14-year-old black Palm Bay teen, accused of attacking a white man for listening to rap music, could be charged with a hate-crime. Officers arrested Joshuah Eligah Lamb late Monday and charged him with battery.
In a report released Wednesday (read report), Lamb told the victim to turn his music off, but the man refused and told Lamb that he could listen to whatever he wants. The report also states that the teen was in the company of other juvenile males and females, who also attempted to get involved in the dispute.
Police say Lamb told the 22-year-old victim to stop listening to rap music because "white people shouldn't listen to rap music." Police said the teen then struck him in the face; the man hit fled before the incident could get worse.
The 22-year-old man sustained a swollen left eye as a result of the battery.
Police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez says the teen faces a hate-crime enhancement charge because he shows "extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race."

Holder will not allow blacks to be named in hate crimes although they dominate interracical crime by nearly 9:1.
Obviously a hate crime but he won’t be prosecuted because hate crime laws were created for the purpose of putting White people in jail for anything they say or do, or don’t say or do, or think of saying, or don’t think of saying while setting free any non-White who assaults, rapes or murders a White.

The article says the teenager had his ‘hood with him. I would hesitate taking on several kids at a time.
