Should Arizona secede?
WashingtonTimes.com ^ | July 29, 2010 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

Judicial activism is pushing America to the breaking point. This week, a federal judge blocked key provisions of Arizona's immigration law, thwarting the will of the people. The decision was ominous and will reverberate for years to come.

Judge Susan Bolton, appointed by former President Bill Clinton, is a liberal elitist who believes judicial imperialism trumps democracy. Her ruling states that local police cannot check the immigration status of people arrested or stopped for violations of the law. In her view, that would amount to an abuse of civil liberties and unduly burden the federal immigration system. She also stipulated that residents cannot be required to carry proof of legal status.

I support this. I am prepared to move to the home I own in Sedona, and leave the home I own on the Central Coast, and bring with me my IRA, valuables, livestock, technical background and my consulting business and help Arizona become a country of it’s own. I think it’s time, Washington DC has outlived it’s purpose and serves little value anymore other than a huge money drain.

Should Arizona secede?

No.

They should overthrow the federal government.
In November. 2010 and 2012.
At the ballot box.

“Gee, do you think the city folk would mind “Sherman” killing every man, woman, and child in his path this time?”

It would be for a just cause...to preserve the Republic and keep the slavery of Marxism from oppressing many of our people...

The only way anybody could break off viably would be for Texas and Utah and all the other states they could take with them to do it.

No. The question is inappropriate at this time.

States will get their 10th Amendment rights when they wrest them from the Feds. Arizona Gov. should announce that they are going to enforce their law, period.

Let the Feds go crazy trying to figure out what to do.

If they really want their attention, kick everyone out of the federal courthouse, and don’t let anyone back in until the ruling is vacated.

If the Feds want the spectacle of occupying Arizona by force, so be it - if they want the spectacle of throwing the Governor in jail, so be it.

Many would, many would not. Sadly the fact that we are even discussing this is a very bad sign.

I weep for my country.

YES! The chances of the union dissolving are increasing. I rate it at 20% and climbing. Here is what a free and independent republic might look like:

Yeah, California has all those windmills in Palm Desert. Let them use those to power Los Angeles.

I haven’t reached the point of supporting the drastic action of secession. Somehow the idea rings a warning bell to me that we are being baited.

That said from here in little Rhody to Arizona,so much love for you true Americans there.

Many would, many would not.

We can't even get conservatives elected in most states.

Judge Bolton holds the happiness of foreign criminals above the safety and security of American citizens.

Don’t leave us behind in central, SW, and North Florida. It would be great to ‘Shed the Feds’.

“The clown prince is just waiting for an excuse to order a “Sherman’s March to the Sea” through a series of red states... “

Right. King obuma will order the fearsome Fat Welfare Momma Division to invade the south. They’ll be backed up by the crack Streetcorner Rappers Who Can’t Hold Their Glocks Straight brigade. And the Bed-Wetting College Kids will take the right and left flanks. And let’s not forget the 500 + pound Union Cavalry riders who will play the role of burning railroad depots while keeping Wade Hampton’s cavalry off center.

Do you know anything about Sherman? I doubt it.

How about all 50 states expel DC? Let them become a "Flensburg Government", decreeing all manner of bool-sheet intil they're blue in the mouth while we set things right; then when we're ready, we can march in, reoccupy such federal faciilities as are needed by a Constitutional Republic, and as for those individuals...retrain those who can be salvaged, execu-- no, exile-- the rest.

I'm pretty much positive that we're being baited into screwing ourselves. Back in the late 60s, William Ayers and pals weren't getting their marxist revolution as quickly as they wanted so they started taking drastic action and their movement was crushed because of it.

Our mistake was in letting them slip back into the shadows. They have learned from our mistake and won't allow it to happen to us.
