Please, if you call yourself a conservative, and if you live in the State of California, never vote for this woman. Jerry Brown would BOTH be a better Governor AND would hasten the demise of this great state than this woman who would taint the GOP for another generation.

Following your advice, the Unions will continue to rape the CA State Economy unchecked and my Second Amendment Rights will be gone by the end of Brown's first Term.

I understand what you are trying to say, but the reality is ANY Republican is always better than ANY Democrat.

Ladies and Gentlemen: The CORRECT answer is for a 2nd Constitutional Convention to be held...we only need 1 or 2 more states to agree...and for that august body to then DISSOLVE the United States of America! With that dead carcass out of the way, the delegates could then form a NEW government, one that is of, by, and for the PEOPLE!

Uh, Meg?

This California voter, thinks with one of the country’s worst unemployment rates - it would make sense right here. After all, every job (not) taken illicitly by someone who has no legal right to even BE here.

Is a job opportunity, for an unemployed Californian.

But you’re too much a RINO to see that.

Aren’t you?

LOL! The open-borders RINO response as mouthed by: Marcos Rubios, Bill McCollum, Connie Mack 3 (p***Y), Jeb Bush, Rick Perry, Kay Bailey, Cornyn and other assorted POS’s.

No Meg your state is broke like Florida due to illegals. Stinking RINOs.

I don't think the Arizona law makes sense for California because we have a much bigger state with much bigger geography."

WTH does geography have to do with the Arizona law? It has nothing to do with the border and everything to do with interior enforcemment and banning sanctuary cities.

So really, she means one of two things:

1. I really support the law and don’t have the cojones (Spanish word on purpose) to say so...

2. I support a flood of cheap labor and am afraid to say so...

A “much bigger state” with “much more geography” can absorb more criminals than Arizona can. Besides, we’ve got so many saguaro cacti here that there is no place to put all the Mexicans. Since California is already bankrupt, going deeper into debt by dealing with Mexico’s poverty problem really is no big deal. Whitman is a nitwit.

I guess numbnuts Meg hasn't read the California penal code...

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully
cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is
suspected of being present in the United States in violation of
federal immigration laws.
   (b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected
of being present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the
following:
   (1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen
of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent
resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time
or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of
immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not
be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and
place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding
documentation to indicate his or her legal status.
   (2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien
who is present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal
justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or
leave the United States.
   (3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United
States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal
status and provide any additional information that may be requested
by any other public entity.
   (c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city,
county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with
jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent
or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly
prohibited.

But don't despair, Meg... You can get a copy on eBay!

"You know, I'm running for the governor of California so I had to make a decision," Whitman said. "Does the Arizona law make sense for California? And I have said no, I don't think the Arizona law makes sense for California because we have a much bigger state with much bigger geography."

You know, Meg, since you're running for governor and all, the fact that California is "a much bigger state with much bigger geography" than Arizona makes this... MORE important here, not less.

Oh and uh, Meg? Again on the governor thing, California ALREADY HAS this kind of law ON THE BOOKS. So are you saying that, as governor, you WON'T enforce California law?

Just asking - it's, you know, the governor thing.

Unfortunately the nation needs to hit rock bottom before we can change. The quicker we hit that bottom the better off we will be. I do not want to slowly spiral down any longer, if the choice is a rino or a democrat, elect the democrat. That way we hit the bottom fast and we can make lasting change.

I used to think Anne Coulter was wrong when she said she would vote for Hillary or Obama before McCain, because McCain would destroy the conservative movement. Now I believe that she was dead on with her analysis. Things have to get bad, really bad before this country wakes up and changes. Otherwise we continue to meander along in the crap, discussing how we want the original Constitution to help us control our God given destiny of freedom, but it allows us just enough freedom that we are appeased. For a truly return to our freedoms that we won through our Founding Fathers, we must endure the pain and hardships that they did. I personally do not believe we have enough capable people to pull it off.

If you have not watched John Adams, the HBO miniseries, you should. It shows much of the hardships and the honor that the founders had to endure. I watched it again recently and was amazed at how much our current government reminded me of the government and governing that was depicted by France at that time. They had beautiful buildings, lavish palaces, and extremely luxurious accommodations. So much that to the extent that John Adams was depicted as very uncomfortable by the accommodations. George Washington was depicted as very humble, and driven by honor alone. Our government appears to have made themselves royalty, and have thrown our Republic under the bus. This is no longer a nation of We the People, it has become infested and run by the very worst elements of society.

I hope that a leader will emerge that will light the spark that we need to rally, I am ready when that occurs. I will not miss California. They need to reap what they have sown.

Most of the politicians, judges, cops (at least in AZ, only some of the sheriffs are good), teachers, etc. etc. will use ANY excuse to continue to allow illegals in. I’m so over hearing “waaaa, waaaa, we can’t do it” (enforce the law) for xxx reason. Just like this Whitman idiot.
