SCARBOROUGH The Maine Police and Fire store will remain closed for several days while Scarborough police try to determine who entered the Route 1 store and ransacked it.
Police said the inside walls and doors had been spray painted with messages about killing animals. Merchandise was also spray painted. A television was smashed and glass display cases were shattered.
Blue paint was poured over several guns and cross bows, boxes of ammunition were dumped on the floor, and desks were overturned.
The store, which sells police and fire equipment, sustained between $60,000 and $75,000 in damages.

Weird...
And not very smart.
This sounds like the kind of store every off-duty LEO in the county hangs out at. They’re liable to take it personal.
Sounds like some Masshole Libtards on vacation.
Very very curious that such a place was not well guarded. It is fortunate that the burglars were simply animal rights nuts bent on defacing the place, and not a gang bent on stealing and deploying weapons and ammo.
This week in Oregon fires were set at a mink farm. It would be interesting to see if any other ALF/animal rights targets were hit on the same day.
mindless distruction is usually the halmark of bored kids. The nice thing about bored kids is they tend to talk a lot and someone will brag to the wrong person.
