Cesar Conda, a former domestic policy adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney: “If the Republican Party embraces ending birthright citizenship, then it will be assured losing Latino and ethnic voters — and presidential elections for the foreseeable future.”

I would like to see poll results for this question for the American people. I would guess it would receive very strong support (70+%).

The Ruling Class would not support it, because as a rule they always support the interests of foreign citizens and foreign governments over the interests of native-born Americans.

“Republican presidential candidates and former operatives under Bush, a reform proponent, can convince GOP congressional leaders that the issue needs to be dealt with before 2012 — or that they could risk alienating the burgeoning Hispanic vote in the crucial swing states of New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida.”

Yeah, these party boys and “operatives”, Bushites and others, are so brilliant, it’s hard for us peons to even look upon them without sunglasses.

If the Republicans will just embrace amnesty, the Mexicans, Salvadorans, etc. will flock to them in gratitude and reward them with mucho votos. And, of course, the rank and file non-Latino Republicans won’t mind their party selling out the country again, will they?

For every Latino vote the Elephants picked up, they’d lose ten votes from people who have supported the Republicans through thick and thin for years.

Just brilliant.

The Stupid Party—there’s just nothing to compare.

“If the dims grant amnesty to 30+million undocumented democrats, the GOP is finished forever. “

Not the Romney-McCain-Graham-Snowe- et al GOP, they will go on as the less-liberal wing of the DNC with support from the MSM.

has signaled quietly to Graham that Republicans must address immigration before the campaign heats up
The only way Republicans must address immigration is, BUILD THE FENCE and prohibit immigration from Moslem countries by Moslems (but not by others).

Understood.

We should also remember that the newly legalized aliens will all shortly end up as welfare cases. Why? Once they are legal, employers will be forced to pay them at least minimum wage. This will price the newly legalized out of the labor market, as a new crop of illegals will be willing to come to the U.S. and work for sub-standard wages.

The pro-amnesty folks are aware of this never-ending cycle. It is their strategy to change America’s demographics permanently so that the “white ruling class” is relegated to permanent minority status.

I’m liking Jim DeMint, Rick Santorum, and Chris Christie.....that’s about it. The ones being talked about all fall way short.

Romney, Pawlenty and Huckabee are squishy RINO frauds.

Palin is likeable and good on the issues for the most part - but alas also a lightweight.

Gingrich has too much baggage.

Am I missing anyone?

Hank

“a new crop of illegals”

I think this may be the biggest concern of most Americans.
If we could believe the political touts in both parties saying, “It will be `comprehensive immigration reform’ and we will henceforth control our border,” and so forth and so on ... then we might say, “OK, one more time ...”.
But as you suggest by using the words “a new crop of illegals”, even dogs and children understand what is meant by the question,
“What do you get when you reward bad behavior?”
If you sneak dinner scraps to your dog begging at the table, if you fail to discipline a naughty child, if you slap the wrists of foreign lawbreakers by making them agree to do things that they have no intention of doing, while giving them citizenship ...
what you get is more bad behavior.
I don’t think it will just be Democrats getting their hats handed to them this November. It will be any candidate who cannot—or will not—recognize that the average American doesn’t give stupid answers on Jay Leno’s dummy search video clips.
We’ve had our ration of their `trust us’ BS. They serve us, at our pleasure, and the federal government is a creature of the states, not vice versa as they seem to think, judging by the recent high-handed & arrogant behavior of the executive and legislative branches of the federal government.

Looks like Arizona won't be giving McCain his just desserts. Damn shame, too. He, along with Ted Kennedy and GWB, was one of the major co-conspirators in that last attempt to shove amnesty down our throats in June 2007.

Demint would, certainly, be my choice but he’s not (I don’t know if this is the right word) “charismatic” enough. I like Sarah because she has her heart and mind in the right place. And, she’s from simple stock, like me. Who says that there’s any greater requirement than the will to do what’s right for this country? She’s certainly intelligent enough.
