Paperwork nightmare: A struggle to fix new law
AP/YahooNews ^ | 8/1/10 | STEPHEN OHLEMACHER

Tucked into the new health care law is a requirement that could become a paperwork nightmare for nearly 40 million businesses.

They must file tax forms for every vendor that sells them more than $600 in goods.

The goal is to prevent vendors from underreporting their income to the Internal Revenue Service. The government must think vendors are omitting a lot because the filing requirement is estimated to bring in $19 billion over the next decade.

It won’t bring in anything from me, I refuse to comply. I have decided to ignore all laws I don’t agree with. Since the government won’t listen to us, the courts rule against us, what are we supposed to do? Just be lemmings and jump off the cliff? Not me, not anymore.

Further encouraging companies to limit the number of vendors they deal with and squeezing out the little guy.

Why should you obey the law when 30 million or so illegals don’t have to?

Let me congratulate AP/Yahoo "news" for putting out news that Neal Boortz was yelling about (so to speak) week before last.

Oh-- thanks Barack. Americans will point and laugh at you for decades, just as we have Jimmy Carter. It's just that you, Barack, put Carter in the shade-- and that's no small accomplishment.

I predict a shortage of 100 and 50 dollar bills.
Could also be a run on prepaid credit cards.

Straight from the Soviet playbook. The group of Lefties who are currently trying to run the country obviously have the active support of a huge chunk of the Washington DC bureaucracy. Together, they are leading us to their promised land.

Like Rush said - everything the Libs try to accomplish, the exact opposite happens. Watch this compliance nightmare LOSE $19 billion.

Good source for information on bartering: www.tradesource.us. Last year I started providing accounting and tax service that is owned by someone quite liberal. Decided my motto concerning liberals would be: Say another prayer for them as you take their money to the bank. They had a cleaning company that I suspected was made up of illegals. Told the owner of the cleaning service I wouldn’t be able to issue them any more checks until I had a completed W-9. They did not return after that so now owner has a legit company doing the work. One down, 30 million more to go!

When will the real America get tired of this insane garbage from King Obama’s communists gestapo squad. King Obama doesn’t have the brains to think this up on his own. This nitwit just won the lottery and rather than think he wants to spend billions vacationing and playing god.

My guess is that the IRS will never be able to handle the avalanche of paperwork caused by the Democrats putting this into the bill. And not only will it be a problem for them, CPAs will be going nuts trying to get out the 1099s. Amazing if someone buys an appliance over $600., they will have to send a 1099 to Sears or some other store. If someone buys a car, they will have to send a 1099 to the dealer. The tree huggers will be complaining that the trees are vanishing due to the 1099s.

Maybe it is just a way to find a new use for paper after the “Regime” starts to burn books.

It’s has nothing to do with bringing in more tax dollars but everything to do with controlling people and who gets to run things.
