U.S. commercial fishermen paid fines amounting to tens of millions of dollars to the fisheries "law enforcement" division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration over the last five years.

The money ended up in an unrecorded account (slush fund) for NOAA scumbags administrators & cops, a forensic audit for a U.S. inspector general shows.

One of the causes of the American Revolution was the British Courts of Vice-Admiralty, which ruled on property seizure cases in the American colonies.

The judges who ruled against the hapless victims received a portion of the swag. It looks like the NOAA was paying off the judges in these cases with a yummy portion of the swag, also.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
