This does not call for a lawsuit against the government. This calls for changing the way you run your society. Imagine a society where members of the military are afraid to have it be known that they did their jobs in war?

If this soldier is in danger for what he did for his country, then his country is no more. He needs to move to another country that will honor his service and sacrifice.

The overwhelming majority of the British people do support the British soldiers and hate the Islamic fundamentalist bastards who would have him and his family murdered, and where they pop up protesting against the troops coming back, they need to be protected by the police from the mob of decent britons who want to lynch them. It isn’t a case of this country not honouring him or his service, more that there is an insidious threat posed to him by a small core of fanatics within a certain community who would like to see him and his family dead...
The authorities will not do it, of course. They had openly ignored demonstrators calling for the death of Salman Rushdie. This with laws in place to deal with "hate". A man even being charged elsewhere, for arguing with a Muslim neighbour about the Iraq War, as a supporter of the invasion, he was actually charged.
Unfortunately, the further reading reveals the soldier had told of this, at a MOD parade. The lousy press picked up on it. Once more the old British Army adage comes to mind. An adage which is likely confined to the waste bin of memory.
