Thanks for your advice. I had salmon and broccoli for dinner. I told my son, salmon just doesn’t stay with me like steak...so I just had some chicken just before I read you post, “Chicken is your friend” :)
I used to walk 3-6 miles a day and rarely missed till my mother got sick. That was 2 years off, then I just lost heart. Now it is 5 years. I restarted for a while, but I didn’t seem to care anymore. If it wasn’t so darn hot I’d go back to it now.
thanks

If you love your knees you better keep it down to 2 miles per day. Over a certain amount you actually risk causing more damage than good. The point of walking is to keep the metabolism up and your energy levels up. It takes about 20 minutes to walk a mile at 3mph a good brisk pace. Like so many other things too much is too much.
Swimming is much lower impact and twice as effective and great in the summer. 10 minutes of swimming is the same as twenty walking. Just a thought.
The title is: New Atkins for a New You: The Ultimate Diet for Shedding Weight and Feeling Great.
You probably already looked it up, but just in case other Freepers were curious, I thought I’d post the title.
Thanks!
