Folks,

He took 51% With a number of candidates and as his video states had better numbers in areas than Dingell and good numbers down river in Monroe, that IMHO that is big. I have a friend in that area and he notes folks are ticked.

I have met Dr. Steele, he is the real deal. I hope we get all of the 29 Doctors Running as Conservatives/ "R's" this fall...

Pretty decisive win for Walberg here in the 7th.

Walberg - 41,941

Rooney - 23,605

There’s a lesson in the Walberg story for the GOP going back to his 06 win over RINO Schwarz.

Time for the tax slaves on the Dingell Family Plantation to revolt.

Is this the doctor that stood up at a town hall and asked some really good questions about health care and the media acted like he was told what to say? His video of the town hall got a lot of views if I remember correctly. And that was what made him decide to run?

Any word on the turnout numbers? Were they increased over 2008? How did GOP turnout compare with DEM turnout in MI? If you read or hear anything about turnout, let me know.

We need to see signs that the GOP voters are stoked and taking interest in the primaries. If they are, that enthusiasm is likely to continue over the next 3 months and may even get more pronounced.

Having an excellent GOP turnout will be KEY to victory in Nov. Polls are indicating that Indies are leaning GOP this time around, but they may be disgusted with politics as they’ve realized they were sold a bill of goods with Obama. So they can’t be counted on.

Polls are also indicating that DEM energy is down. The CBC vs. Obama fracas that’s brewing won’t help to energize black voters in metropolitan areas for state races. This could help GOP candidates like Toomey in PA because if Phila. and Pitts. don’t show up to vote, DEM’s will lose.

Do they still have to put up a mirror in front of Dingel’s mouth to see if he is still breathing?

I wonder if the NRA will keep supporting Dingell? They love Harry Reid and his sleazy and corrupt land deal to build a $100 million outdoor gun range with taxpayer money. it has 12 lanes in the desert. It looks like it could have been built for $300,000.

Thanks for reminding me, time to say good bye to the NRA. They have become weasels IMHO. I don’t know about Dingell, but Doc Steele shoots Clays if my memory is correct, check his website

Now if we had GOP leadership

I think that we are all more mature than that wishful thinking. The reality, the nightmare we have woken up to, is that all of them, dims, pubbies, judges, lawyers, libs, did I say pubbies, are rent seeking w40Re$, running the biggest RICO operation in history to take from the public and put the money in their own pockets. If it take shoveling $10T around in a useless way, so long as $100B ends up in their pockets, it is a nice piece of work and we would all be proud to have a piece of it.

Of course conservatives don't behave that way, but then there have not been a lot of them/us in recent days.

Nomination for understatement of the year:

Michigan has the nation's second-highest unemployment rate — at 13.2 percent — and scores of foreclosures,

Yeah, "scores," as in tens of thousands of scores.

Nice to hear Doc Steele shoots clays. Yup - Dingell has been a NRA pick for decades - Two Gun John is his nickname.

Sad about the NRA. They were all excited about the $60 or 100 million gun range near Las Vegas. There web site has LaPierre and Chris Cox with Dingy Hairy Reid at the opening.

The range is a real piece of **it. Outdoor with dirt in the sun with no vocerage for shooters. Anyone of us here could have bought the land, put up the building and the targets for under $1 million. Another sleazy deal from Dirty Harry and the NRA was cheering it! They have no common sense or love the Dems and the islamist now. Stupid NRA.

Hope to get 29 doctors running? I hope so. We need more small business owners, docs and ex-military (not phonies like band-aid Purple Heart Kerry).

Frantzie, not hope, 29 Conservative Doc’s were running in the primaries. I am not sure the total that made it and or how more primaries to go nationwide (was yesterday the last or do some states go up to 60 days before?). Another 4 other medical professionals of various careers as well. Source? Byron York on Bill Bennett a number of months ago.

In Tennessee, we could easily elect conservatives if the conservatives in the primary would stop splitting the vote and letting the RINOs in.

I’d mich rather have 535 successful small business owners in charge of congress than I would 535 lawyers. The reason laws are so complex is lawyers like it that way.

He is a young and vigorous late 40 something or slightly more :-)... Again I have had the pleasure of meeting him twice and my gut feel is he is the real deal, ver comfortable answering questions and discussing the faults of Obamacare. I could see him becoming a prominent voice for the GOP or what remains of it...
It just illustrates the argument for term limits: there are about 300,000,000 people in the country and 435 Congressional Districts, In any given district, therefore, there are roughly 3/4 of a million constituents, and at least a third of them - 1/4 of a million - would be adult citizens.

There is nothing which suggests to me that any of those districts is represented by the fairest of ten thousand - let alone people who would excel a quarter of a million people in his/her district. How many doctors, lawyers, engineers, businessmen, and just plain intelligent, committed, trustworthy people would you find who does not consider political office the best use of their time???

Sometimes I wish we could just have representatives chosen by lottery, and sent to Washington for a couple of years with all expenses paid. A House of Representatives which was as honest as a jury would be an improvement over what we have in political office.

Great stuff.

A few years ago, the Georgia Dental Association was upset at dentists getting short shrift from DC, so ran dentists and got two elected to HOR.

Sounds like these physicians are on to something.
