I love the fact we have wolves here south of Alaska. Hunting and trapping them is one of the highlights of my youth in Alaska. If idiotic politics can get out of the way of proper wildlife management then my kids and grand-kids can have the same joy I had while outsmarting these huge dogs.

And no they do not just kill what they eat. They are wild dogs and dogs kill for fun all the time.

Use to watch bears swipe dozens of pink salmon a day out of rivers in AK and only eat their brains. Their brains are about a tablespoon. Carnivores are very wasteful when there is a bounty.

When you were hunting the wolfs as a youngster in Alaska, did you ever think that the left would convince the government to actually bring the same large wolves that roam in Alaska and Northern Canada down into the lower 48?
