From the article “The Iranian revolution compelled my family to flee to America when I was 12 years old. Yet, just over two decades later, the militant version of our faith caught up with us on a September morning.”

This is a very good piece. It expresses what many people are feeling quite well.

Thanks for posting it.

Her words will fall on deaf ears, of course. Bloomy et al know better. They know better about everything, don’t you know?

Yes, this makes us weak and groveling.

Nobody respects a weak groveler.

It makes the Muslims look like manly men. Therefore more attractive to male converts. And, what the hell, maybe some females as well.

Who can stand a metrosexual?

It’s not a mosque...it’s a base camp, a barracks.

The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, the faithful our soldiers.

I worked that area for some years but don’t recall St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Looks like the politicians don’t wish to.

What a sad mess our “leaders” are. When a Muslim has more sense than a Mayor who is Jewish... if anyone should know what this mosque is about, it is Bloomberg.

I guess that some Jews just aren't too bright. Or they think it makes them look like good guys for being stupid.

Did you read this? It's a deliciously angry piece that says it straight up!

Is there a way to get that video bumped to the top of FR for a couple of days?

I forwarded it to everyone on my email list.

It’s so painful but it is a necessary reminder.

Yes.
Someone can post a thread in “Chat”.

I did a search and it looks like it not been posted in a few years.

Could wait for the anniversary, but it seems so timely...

(If no one else jumps on it, I could post it later today)

...the construction of the Cordoba House Islamic cultural center near the World Trade Center site would not promote tolerance or understanding; I fear it would become a symbol of victory for militant Muslims around the world.

When the war against AlQuaeda is over - then, 'yes'... It's within our laws. But now? No.

Would President Roosevelt have let the Japanese build a Temple on Pearl harbor during the war? Hell. no... December 7th, 1941 a day that lives in infamy - wasn't trumped by a Japanese Temple on the site of thousands of American war deaths...

Muslims living here need to join their voices to stop this travesty...

These people make me sick, building a mosque on that site. If that isn’t an “in your face” maneuver, then nothing is.

I agree....and I am even angrier that our dirty politicians agree with it, defend it and promote it as a symbol of healing! They are either (1) smoking crack or (2) getting big money from these people. My guess is Bloomberg and the rest have been bought off. Nobody has asked where the money is coming from to build this symbol to radical Islam on our soil.
