“The Vatican IS NOT a single, Bishop from Los Angeles! Are you interested in honest debate, or just out to push your own personal Anti-Catholic venom?
The venom came from you - curb your tongue. And as for “honest debate,” where is your honesty in labelling the president of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops a “single, Bishop from Los Angeles?”
You slap rudely and misrepresent the status and seriousness of what is going on, and then claim some sort of moral high ground? And through implication, you split the Vatican away from all of it with zero authority. You are way out of line here.
IN FACT, millions of people, Catholic and non-Catholic, are awaiting a Vatician statement on the position this president of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops has taken.
Also IN FACT, the Vatican is EXACTLY where the focus should be in this matter.
Arguing for a Protestant-style independence of interpretation is repulsively hypocritical.”

I sincerely believe you are the one out of line! If the US Conference of Catholic Bishops declared that war was immoral, that would not make it so!

I do not believe that valid Catholic doctrine dictates that the people of one country are OBLIGED to take care of people from another country.
The more fortunate have an obligation to look after the less fortunate, As An Expression of their love for God and all of His children.

This is entirely different from denying that a nation cannot have borders.

The methodology of the USCCB, insisting to hijack the entire American government system which represents Protestants, Jews, Buddhists, and atheists as well as Catholics, to bring the Mexicans over to America rather than insisting their welfare while they live in Mexico, is quite biased and short sighted if not just plain immoral. IIRC there is an item in the “official” catechism condemning such an approach.
