In an interview Wednesday, Norton said she is not sure yet what to do about illegal immigrants currently in the country. But she is intrigued by an idea that would allow illegal immigrants to turn themselves in to police, undergo a background check and pay a fine. Instead of a jail sentence, they could do community service.
Norton is not endorsing the idea, she said, but "I would absolutely entertain it. The person would have a criminal record. It would be a record that they broke the law," she said.

Is it any wonder why McCain supports her? Norton is just another amnesty supporter.
How about community service back in Mexico? These people are clueless.
Norton, do the community a service and deport them for good.
McCain is building a gang of Senate RINOs: Fiorina, Norton, Crist (until Crist defected), Brown, Graham.
lol Norton is a dummy..is that supposed to impress voters?
Buck’s position on illegals is not much better. He is supporting the Pence touchback idea.
sleazy RINO scum alert!
Showing up to the fight lost, lame and winded WILL NOT GET IT THIS TIME PAL!!!!!
Besides... Liberals would parlay THIS idea into the US using illegals as slaves.
How silly they are....EVERYONE knows THAT is what TAXPAYERS are for!!!
Jail sentence??? That cost money too. How about sending them home? Or at least cutting off their welfare. OK, send them to California.
Buck is the choice of the Tea Party? The above is nothing but warmed over McCainesque triple talk for an amnesty by any other name program.
More of McCain's triple talk on immigration coming from both Republicans in the Colorado senate race.
Both Buck and Norton have said they would not seek to deport the estimated 12 million people who immigrated to the United States illegally. And both say the first priority is to secure the border and then establish a program for legal, temporary workers, who would have to apply for work permits from their home countries.
Here Buck uses the "can't deport 12 million" nonsense, which is second only to the "amnesty" word game in ways to mislead the voters.
I guess one of these would be preferable to a Colorado Dim, but no one should kid themselves that Buck is a conservative. And what was it he said about the Tea Partiers? Dumbasses.
Sounds like Buck pulled the wool over some conservative eyes early on.
Unless “community service” means being deported 3000 miles south of the border, I’m not interested in hearing another word from this guy.
.
Help Texas watch her borders.
Watch live on 14 cameras and report illegal alien invaders.
Night cams in operation

Does it work? Yes.
Best time to catch them is at night.
Recently caught on cam and reported:
String of illegals running through brush with backpacks
Numerous sightings of boats crossing the river
Numerous vehicles late at night in isolated areas
IMMENSELY satisfying
.
That’s Pence’s position? Ugh!
Wouldn't that be slavery?
Community service? You mean like putting them to work for six months building the border wall, before tattooing their foreheads with “Property of Mexico” (or wherever else they came from), and dumping them on the other side of the border?
Sounds like a plan to me.
Whatever Happened to Mike Pence?
Say It Aint So, Mike The Pence immigration plan has let conservatives down by Rep Steve King
Why is it so difficult for conservative to understand what it takes to beat the Democrats?
We’d rather eat our own on lofty “principles” than elect a winner.
Buck is NOT ready for prime time, no matter his views.
He’s too easy for the Dem’s to campaign against and doesn’t have Norton’s money or name recognition.
Both have made dumb statements on immigration reform, so there’s no advantage there.
I’m glad this will be over, so that all we have to anguish about is the Gov’s race, with 3 clear losers to chose from, to run against Hickenlooper.
” McCain is building a gang of Senate RINOs: Fiorina, Norton, Crist (until Crist defected), Brown, Graham. “
And has Palin in escrow.
I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any of the republican options for any of the positions. How could CO be so stupid. No wonder it has turned blue. Need to move further north; here I come Wyoming.
Ping...
