Actually, Dingy Harry’s comment is a twofer statement. His son, Rory, is running for Nevada Governor against a Hispanic Republican. Of course Rory is trying to keep a degree of separation between these 2 campaigns - his last name of Reid is NOT ON his campaign literature! Gee, there is a vote of confidence, right?!?!

I’m very sympathetic to the restrictive position on immigration. I actually favor zero legal (and, obviously, zero illegal) immigration, the former for at least ten years.
That said, restrictionists really do need to demonstrate that they can win an election or two.
