Spain's plans to have 2,000 electric cars on the road by the end of 2010 have been dealt a blow as figures showed just 16 have been sold.
The government-backed REVE electric car and wind power project said 15 cars had been sold so far this year, in addition to one last year.

I got a letter yesterday from some California agency telling me that I am a bad citizen for continuing to drive my 1986 Explorer and I should go buy a new car (I kid you not!). I’m surprised it didn’t tell to appear at the appointed place and time to purchase my new Obama Dolt.

The CARB agency?
I had a practical electric car when I was a kid. It was a slot car. Maybe we can get Willie to start pumping for installed electric slots throughout the nation and then all we would need is a chassis, wheels and electric motor to drive. I am sure it is about as doable as building more train tracks.

Wasn’t CARB. I left the letter at work and I don’t recall. I am going to scan and post it. Absolutely pathetic — everybody is broke or out of work because of totally failed governments all around us, and they have the gall to send out letters telling us to purchase new cars. It just about sent me around the bend.
And if you ran it through the scary Pelosi Mind Machine, it would come out something like this...
"Our Environmental Transportation and Green Jobs Growth Initiative has been very successful...in one year we have increased the number of enviro-friendly cars on the road by 1500%!"
