PHOENIX (AP) - Both were once considered vulnerable but recently have found stronger footing in their Republican primary races.

Now, Arizona Sen. John McCain and Gov. Jan Brewer will campaign together at six events in five communities on Friday and Saturday.

Lol, you seem to have appointed yourself to some important positions around here, like being the decider about what people can and can’t say, and what they should and shouldn’t post.

Get over yourself. I hope Rabscuttle385 keeps posting these timely and informative items about the current election campaigns. And there is a big rally coming up Sunday on the border. JD and Sheriff Joe and many others will be there. The campaign is not over yet.

“Hayworth is down 30 pts in the RCP polling average. The dude is toast.”

Largely attributable to being nailed on earmarks. It’s fine and dandy for some of these folks to despise McCain (I’m no fan of the jerk either), but the hatred spewed with their RINOitis on the brain is not healthy for them and more importantly for the divisiveness they create. Their “it’s my way or the highway” childlike approach overusing the “traitor” BS will establish them as the real Benedict Arnolds if their paranoia results in further power for Demcraps.

Gov. Brewer went from hero to goat just by agreeing to campaign with McCain. Maturity is severely lacking among a number of posters here.

Brewer is the only one left running for Gov. so her trickery worked and McCain's "campaign conservative" rhetoric has pulled the wool over so many voters eyes here it makes my head spin!

It baffles me that there could be living and breathing humans who cannot see through McCain's election year flip/flops and lies. I've posted several times how he said, three years ago during the Republican primary debates, that he "got the message" and would work toward border security first. And what has he done in the Senate during the three years since? This is the second consecutive pulling of the wool on that same lie, in a span of less than three years.

Do you know of any poll numbers for Arizona about whether they support legalization, and a path to citizenship for illegals? Because that's exactly what they are voting for when they vote for McCain.

“The racecard of choice for ‘True’ Republicans.”

Pie in the sky! The cliche is worn out. You would have the 41 votes drop to 35 or less based upon your criteria. So you want to tell all of those moderate to liberal republicans that are not up for re-election this year to bug off, we don’t need you? Real smart.

While AK gave Ted Stevens the boot, AZ will never reciprocate with McPain.

No Will, I’ve not seen any polls taken on what the majority of Arizonans want to do with those left here. Many of us here are as baffled as you in wondering just what the heck is going through their minds...the ones going with McCain! I think I did mentioned that many are buying into his “campaign conservative” hard stance on the border issue....they actually believe he has changed his spots for cryin’ out loud!

I hope she will bring Hayworth as a guest. McCain is like a millstone to her campaign. Brewer don’t go wobbly now.

“..like being the decider about what people can and can’t say, and what they should and shouldn’t post.”

I could give a rats*** what anybody posts or says, but when they make moronic statements, they will not go unchallenged. Welcome to diversity training.

“The campaign is not over yet.”
But the primary election is. JD will soon be voted off the island. Fantasy Island was just that, a fantasy.

Lol, you contradict yourself. And nothing ruins a forum more than a bunch of self-appointed Miss Manners and hall monitors. You have a real problem dealing with people whose opinions differ from your own.

Looks as if thats what 20 million $ campaign war chests will do. The money along with the large amount of chits called in from a longtime sitting Senator will fool a lot of people.

I can’t say I don’t agree with you. I was totally against raising the taxes, and had hopes of seeing Dean Martin get elected. But when she stood up against the hordes from the south and that jerk of a president we have, or not jerk, but socialist monster, well, I kinda feel a loyalty to her.

I hope in three years I’m not let down.

I don’t get it. What’s in it for Brewer? Did she let McShame hustle her?

Here’s a conspiracy theory to consider:

Did Brewer and McShame put their heads together early on to help McShame? Did they say, “Hey where is John weakest?” The answer, “Why, immigration!!!” Jan then volunteers, or McShame suggests to her, “Hey, why not have a big whoop-de-doo in AZ about illega;s, and pass a law, and Jan will be the torch-bearer, and everyone will love her and her support will zoom into the stratosphere. Then, John will come along and get her endorsement, thus removing the stain of amnesty from his reputation.

That works.
