America on Edge

Wednesday in Atlanta, thousands of people barraged a shopping center. The goal was not to purchase the latest "it" item. It was to attain a public housing application. Folks cut the line. Some children were reportedly trampled. Riot police arrived. The coveted housing slots are for families with an annual income below $16,000.
The same day in southern California, a man's car was being repossessed. The unemployed man rammed a rented U-Haul truck into the tow truck. The man proceeded to barricade himself inside his home. The local SWAT team was called in. Police negotiated with him for hours. He eventually surrendered peacefully.
Two days earlier, a JetBlue flight was on the tarmac at New York's JFK airport. A passenger rose to retrieve his luggage while the plane taxied. Veteran flight attendant Steven Slater asked the passenger to sit down. The passenger cursed him out. The luggage, or bin, struck Slater in the head. Reports vary. The two argued. Slater took to the intercom. Let loose his own profane rant. Grabbed a beer. Opened the emergency-evacuation chute and slid away in a blaze of workingman glory.
On the other side of the country, not far from the repo-man standoff, Slater's mother was asked about the incident. "I can understand why he snapped," she said. So can America.
The nation feels ready to snap. Not as a people. But tens of millions are on edge.

Even here in the Peoples Democratic Workers Socialist Utopian Republic of Duval Patrick, gun and ammo sales are way up. People snap at the smallest things -- things that a few years ago would have elicited a shrug. More and more houses are for sale or in foreclosure. One guy nearby destroyed his house when it was foreclosed upon. My neighbor needs heart surgery that would be denied under ObamaCare (she's "too old"). Two brothers have come to blows over an issue about land they both own. The town ZBA is seeing fist-fights start in the hallway after the decision goes against one of the parties. People are routinely going out of state to buy reloading supplies. Obama flew into a local airport, destroyed the runway with his six massive Dillon Aerospace gattling-gun SUVs; the owner is having to sue the government to get the runway repaired. LTC applications are up 16% over last year. Something bad's coming and people feel it.

You ain’t seen nothing yet.
The Central Bankers ANTICIPATE this - thus turning shut-down US military basis into FEMA CAMPS.
Right now the bad news is still being covered up. After the election year is over, I expect more truth to be let out.

I think part of it is what the MSM is telling the American people — that is, what they see in the papers and watch on TV — and what they know, instinctively and personally is really going on. See the post above this one about the NY Times being a cheerleader for higher taxes so BO will have more to “redistribute.”

You’re right. The scartiest part about all this is how the people are going to act when TSHTF. It won’t be pretty. Common sense is basically gone.

Central planning always produces misery and inequality. It increases mistrust and greed among people and leads to fights over the “pie”. A free market increases prosperity and cooperation. Free exchange encourages mutual regard, increases trust, and leads people to treat others politely. Will we ever learn that more government control of anything always leads to fights over who gets what and who controls what?
Read the book, The Rational Optimist. Although I don’t see any real reason for optimism in our current situation, things could change radically for the better if people would just embrace freedom instead of state nannyism.

I see on Cavuto that idiots are on Wall street today demanding more unemployment.
Apparently Wall street is supposed to hand out money for some strange reason.

I tried to teach a kid on our block he had to keep an eye on the fluids in the car he just got.
Upon teaching how to open the hood the first thing we checked was the power steering fluid, because he said it made a noise when he turned the wheel (I knew that noise was the pump saying "I'm really thirsty").
Of course, the dipstick was dry, I said "Do you know what this means?"
Without hesitation he said, "I need a longer dipstick?"
More proof we are doomed!

I was at Bass Pro Shops, at the Patriots mega-complex yesterday and the customers were three deep at the gun counter. That gun counter looks to be 100' long.
Wedesday afternoon -- 2 PM -- the middle of the week.
I joined a nearby rifle and pistol club in June -- over 3,000 members -- there were 108 people in the new member's orientation -- they have one every month.
My little town abuts Mattapan and Dorchester, and everybody in town is filing for gun permits and licenses to carry.

Toward the end of today's Limbaugh show - A FOX helicopter reporter, flying over this “event” in Atlanta described the scene below of the rioters in the dust as like “Uganda”. Apparently, he's gotten himself into trouble with his management. I can't think why. I doubt it's over the vivid accuracy of his reporting but then I haven't seen the footage.

It is just the beginning. When “black America” finally discovers their “black” President isn’t going to reach into his “stash” and give them money, cars and general wealth, they are going to feel betrayed. That is what happened in Atlanta ... everybody in that crowd thought they were going to get something free from Obama. How many lost their temper because of it, how many went home empty handed? It will get worse as they discover the promises were empty. They were PROMISED something ... they are NOT GETTING ANYTHING for voting him in ... just empty promises which is the OPPOSITE of “HOPE”. When will they learn that Democrats are liars and are the REASON they are in so much economic trouble?

There are many on FR that don't believe that there is a revolution coming. They say America's been through worse, well yes it has but this isn't your Great Gandad's America. Take a look at these pictures:
America Depression 2010
Depression 1930's
There is trouble coming to the streets of America and you better be getting ready for it now! Guns, food and ammo are the investments of today. And for those of you who think that the November elections are going to turn things around I say you do not know your enemy. A loss even a GREAT loss will turn them in to cornered wild animals the 'Lame Duck' session after the election will pass more Leftist BS than you every thought possible. You ain't see nothing yet. You WILL NEVER hear the wailing and nashing of teeth from the 'Obamies' what you will hear will be El Degüello.

This is what happened to those who were placed back on the plantation by the Democrat Party with their social engineering.
They have created a permanent dependent class.
