WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Friday will speak up for religious freedom at a dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that point just as New York City is immersed in a deeply sensitive debate about whether a mosque should be built near ground zero.
Obama has not yet spoken about the mosque controversy.

Will he have lunch? Will there be photos of him munching, drinking, or licking an ice cream cone during daylight hours this month? (Actually, I think he sympathizes, but doesn’t bother himself with the inconveniences of observance, such as fasting).

Of course if it were about freedom of religion then it would mean that NYC wasn’t allowing any mosques, which we know is not true. The first amendment has nothing to do with where you build a building.

Onliest way to deal with Moslems (or Democrats) is to push back and bring the issue home to them in terms they can understand.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he never speaks the word Christmas. We will likely hear a lot of “this time of year”, “holidays”, and such.
