Why did Ronald Reagan,a champion of family values, sign the nation’s first no-fault divorce bill into law?Years earlier he had been shattered when his first wife, actress Jane Wyman, filed for divorce.Although it was Reagan’s growing anti-communist activities that alienated wife Jane-she complained in her divorce papers that “my husband and I engaged in continual arguments on his political views”-she accused him of “mental cruelty”,since divorce laws in the 1940’s required a charge against the other spouse of adultery, extreme cruelty, willful desertion, willful neglect, habitual intemperance, felony conviction,or incurable insanity.

As son Michael Reagan later explained in his book ‘Twice Adopted’”Even though listing grounds for divorce was largely a formality, those words were probably a bitter pill for him to swallow.”In signing California’s no-fault divorce law, observed Michael,”He wanted to do something to make the divorce process less acrimonious, less contentious and less expensive.”But Reagan later regretted the decision as one of the worst he ever made,as divorce rates skyrocketed and divorce conflicts and legal costs remained “as ruinous as ever,” Michael added.

I’ll care about what Glenn thinks about those things when he runs for office.

Yes! That is my point, exactly. Beck and Rush are simply entertainers, not vying for elected office.

Thanks, CC! Have a great afternoon!

Well said lj. I used to be one of those that avoided this issue as well and still do at times, but I never realized how sick some of their activism was until I came to FR and started reading about it. Some of the things they have done in our schools are truly revolting. That is where I draw the line and oddly enough my liberal kook sister even agrees with me.

The libertarian in me still thinks this is a state’s rights issue and government doesn’t belong in people’s personal lives and bedrooms, however like you said..their kook activists aren’t satisfied with keeping their lifestyles in the bedroom..they want it on parade in the streets and taught in our schools. That is where we should draw the line..in our schools imho. They have no right to promote homosexuality in our schools...PERIOD!

If a person reads about the agenda and what their plans are, and their targetting children in schools, they wake up.

I also woke up by seeing them on the prowl at beaches, hiking trails, rest areas and so on. The day I went to a beach and saw two of them engaged in oral sodomy on each other in public, it was quite a wakeup call.

Right out there in the open.

This is their goal. NOT keeping it in their bedrooms, dungeons or latrines, as it should be.

Its not that we aren’t all for faith and God and stuff, nor is it that we won’t be expending our resources fighting for such things.

My sentiment on the matter is faith in a much more difficult and time consuming thing to restore then functional and practical things like government. While it is without a doubt necessary, we simply don’t have time to wait for it to be restored before we sure-up the more secular defense of liberty.

We will get to it but we can’t be in Church while they are burning our town(and the Church with us in it) to the ground.

Personally, I believe all these talkers have been silenced by the advertisers. I hear what you’re saying, but in God’s eye, it’s just another round in His gun.
