If I or anyone else wants to risk their lives under any conditions it’s none of yours or anyone elses god damned business!

I’ve risked my life consistantly for the sake of time and been hurt numerous times and if the next time I get killed it’s no ones god damned business or concern!!!!

I’d be willing to bet ZERO criminal liability as long as the drivers weren’t drunk or stoned.

This race was licensed and the people watching willingly took the risk. There was no expectation of safety for anybody standing alongside the trail (not “track”). Do you think those people paid to attend this event?

As for civil liability, people sue all the time for their own reckless behavior.

Happens during the Paris-Dakkar ralley, too.

People take their own risks.

Racing is dangerous, but particularly dangerous on streets.

Because of the fact that so much stuff is filmed now, that when people get injured the government pays for their treatment, and because we've pretty much accepted that the government has the right to regulate everything, we've become a much more risk averse society.

Anybody else remember the figure eight races, where the contestants played chicken at the intersection?

If you’re into that safety shit don’t do it but don’t inflict your live safe crap on anyone else!

Whoa, ease up. I've run off road for many years. I'm not against racing at all, people take risks all the time. But I know what happens when a vehicle gets sideways. Nothing you can do, physics takes over. Just ask a racer if they would stand on the shoulder of a 2 lane dirt road as pro trucks try to pass at 80 mph.

I'm not advocating anything or saying they should make rules, etc. I am saying anyone is a fool to stand up close and unprotected. I am also saying that the safety nazi lawyers are going to be all over this big time, and they are the ones who are going to inflict all the live safe crap on everyone else.

I'm sensing a full moon tonight.

When you build your race track and sell tickets, you can stand in the middle of the track for all I care. And your customers too.

When you work for someone else you do the job or walk away. I did the job I was hired to do, keep idiots like you off the fence so they wouldn't lose a limb and then sue the race track.

Sleep it off before you reply Einstein.
