When you think of California , what comes to mind?
Beautiful beaches, San Francisco , Disneyland and Hollywood are the Golden States trademarks. Yet the huge land mass between San Francisco and Hollywood that region known as the San Joaquin Valley comprises one of the worlds most fertile, and most productive agricultural regions.
And the residents of this agricultural region believe that Barack Obama and his policies have hurt them pretty badly.

Not me. I think of all the lunatics, illegals and losers that have turned a state of 40 million people into a cesspool.
On a side note, yesterday I watched "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief". I found it interesting that the way to Hades was in Hollywood.
“When you think of California , what comes to mind? “
Unfortunately, illegal mexican and other latin american immigrants.
...When you think of California , what comes to mind?...
-
Pot smokers; hippies; socialists; illegal aliens; and earthquakes.
Is this a word association game?
And who swapped the keys around on your keyboard?
I did that to a friend once...moved all his keys 1 place to the right!
It would be nice to read the article, BUT THEY HAVE SO MANY POP-UPS that it pretty near impossible to load the page.
Webmasters - just because you technically CAN do something, doesn’t mean you should.

God I despise journalism which projects it's own bigotries on the reader. "Americans" want this, the "public" thinks that.
Why wouldn't the sentence read: "When I think of California, here's what comes to mind?" Or:"When some think of California, what comes to mind?"
Integrity is being absolutely honest with one's self. Is there any such thing among journalists, even from Townhall? By definition "journalism" is objective review of the facts/events/conditions, not presumptive projection.
I know CA well. These are not what come to this reader's mind.
Maybe back in the 50s or 60s. Now it's gays, illegals and other self-serving activist groups who have taken the "FUN" out of dysfunctional!
The Republicans should be out there 24/7, with video and pics, of the devastation brought about by the far-left and their “Screw the human” policies.
I think of fruits nuts and commies
Few things make me madder than this topic. I have a ton of family in CA.

About a hundred years ago, when I was a kid, and we went there to visit California, it was a paradise. My dad was even offered a job there, and we almost moved, except that it wasn’t the same money he made in Ohio. The place was Montebello. Look it up. It was one of the locations where they hoisted the Mexican flag over the American flag. It wasn’t like that when we were there in the late 1970’s, it was a country club job. (My dad managed a public golf course in Ohio.)
Something “snapped” in that state, and it was never the same.
If I were Arnold, or I were the next governor there, I’d turn on the water using the CA National Guard and DARE the feds to arrest me.
Firefox with add-ons FLASHBLOCK and ADDBLOCK PLUS make the page quite pleasant.
I tell ya what.
Jan Brewer would turn the water on, and tell Obama “Bite me.”
Arnold was a tough guy in the movies, but he’s proven himself to be a chicken shit, in many ways.
I love the way everyone slams California when this topic comes up, but when the Democrats are finished in Washington, we will all be living in California.
I live in California and quite frequently travel into these farm regions and it is sad to what is being done the these hardworking farmers and their land.
Signs are everywhere planted along the highways and roads. Some likie the one’s mentioned in the article. The most common one is “no water no food!”
Moral and fiscal bankruptcy.
Yup, another bash Cali thread.
I don't have to look it up; I was born in Montebello.
Every loose marble in the country rolls down to California, and in the last 30 years marbles have been rolling up from the southern border.
Liberalism has killed California.
