Eight more members of the U.S. House have signed on to a plan that calls for a re-vote on Obamacare, enabling members to repeal the massive nationalization program estimated to cost Americans a trillion dollars or more.
The signature total now stands at 170, just four dozen shy of the 218 needed to advance the discharge petition sponsored by U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa
The newest names are Reps. Steven C. LaTourette of Ohio, Dean Heller of Nevada, Peter T. King of New York, Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida, Lincoln Diaz-Balart of Florida, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida, Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania and Charles W. Dent of Pennsylvania.

It doesn’t matter, unless we control both houses and have a vetoproof majority, Obama will veto any legislation that is passed. We have to ride out the next two years and win the white house back to undo the damage
NEEDS to be brought forward to flush out the bastards who want to eliminate the private sector in ALL things, and dictate via wealth-redistribution and absolute power your every thought, right, and earning potential.
There is no way in hell the Rats are going to allow their power grab to be snatched away from them. Even if they did get enough votes to force a vote to repeal and EVEN IF they were successful in getting the House AND Senate to vote to repeal it, Obastard would veto it and basically prove that the entire Rat Party is ruling against the will of the people.
I think they should go ahead and do it just for Obama’s reaction.
Call this Death Care what it is, a premeditated Genocide of the sick, disabled, elderly, and whomever else Big Brother deems as their enemies. This was designed as the Hussein/Reid/Pelosi final solution for We The People—Death Panels where you and I will plead for our lives or the lives of our family members. Think about that very seriously and go out into your neighborhoods and explain it in detail to the voters before November 2nd.
Not exactly. Yes, he can veto legislation to repeal Obamacare. But every program such as Obamacare has to be enacted into law in two parts: authorizing legislation and an appropriations bill to pay for it. And the appropriation bills only cover one year of funding. All the Congress would have to do is fail to appropriate the funds for Obamacare. He cannot veto a negative.
That's optimism.
They’ll get the rest, and a lot more, in November.
It matters. If both houses of congress vote to repeal, then they have good standing to completely deny it funding. Obama can veto the budget if it doesn’t fund ObamaCare, but he will be on weak political ground.
Or a 2011 House majority enables investigations that lead to resignation, ouster, or impeachment (prior to January 2013).

Thanks RobinMasters.
Then I guess the Pubbies should work for a supermajority in November instead of just a majority. We have to think big. I know our opponents do.
Well I certainly like the thought of that, but the Republicans do NOT have the balls or stomach to do that. Once they gain control, they will bend over backwards to try and get the liberal main stream media to like them. I'm afraid that the Republican party is a spent force. It has been co-opted by progressives and career politicians who care more about maintaining their political careers than doing the right thing. I have lost all my faith in the Republican party, they have left our country at the mercy of the socialist Democrats.
In fact, I think that nowadays the Republican party looks a lot more like the Democrats of the sixties and the Democrats look a lot like the Russian Politburo of the eighties.
Not worth it folks. He is retiring....this seems to be a bit of a charade. :(
Let Obutt veto them as it crosses his desk while bad news keeps piling up about Obama-care. It all spells disaster for the Dems in 2012.
