Mark Levin Slams Chris Christie on 9/11 Mosque
Mark Levin ^ | 08/16/2010

Posted on 08/16/2010 7:01:35 PM PDT by Brices Crossroads

Mark Levin today slammed NJ Governor Chris Christie for his sanctimonious attitude that the controversy over the Mosque at ground Zero is "just politics" and "is being used as a political football by BOTH parties!" He says that this attempt By Christie to make the two positions on the mosque (pro and con) equivalent is nothing more than a naked effort to portray himself as "above it all" and look down his nose (so to speak) at those who have the courage to oppose this thing (most prominently former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin--although Levin does not mention her by name).

Levin praised the courage of those who have stood up to Obama and Bloomberg and opposed this mosque. The "Great One" said that Christie was "dead wrong" to link the opposition to the mosque to intolerance.

Quote: "Just becasue you clobber public sector unions and cut your state's budget does not necessarily mean you are Presidential material." Levin also says he is concerned about Christie's immigration positions.

He tells Christie to: "get serious and take a position" rather than being afraid to "get your hands dirty" by taking a position. The clip is only 2:45 and is worthwhile to listen to.

I dunno... the mosque seems to be a NYC issue. NYC sets the zoning laws and processes the paperwork for building permits. They are also beholden to their electorate.

So they get to make the call.

As to whether I like the idea of a mosque *anywhere* on US soil... not a f#$%ing chance in h#@l!

I'm just not willing to see even more power relinquished by local government and given to the Federal government.

That sounds like South Korea.

6 story building (and a basement):

6th floor - comic book store
5th floor - apartment
4th floor - massage parlor
3rd floor - after school educational center
2nd floor - tourist agency
1st floor - church
basement - bar w/ juicy girls (think geishas, but imported from Russia, Phillipines, China, etc)

And it all works out fine.

And they would kill the other 300 million given the opportunity and ability.

Really?

You know there are anywhere from 1-7 million Muslims in America.

Now consider that the Fort Hood killer, Nidal Malik Hasan, killed 13 people and injured 30.

If, like you say, every Muslim is a killer... then where are the 13-91 million dead Americans?

---

Gahh, now I feel sick... having actually defended Islam.

PUKE!

---

If we want to have a true and positive effect on America, we ought to stop all immigration from Islamic countries. That, and foster positive reinforcement for Muslims in America to actually self-emigrate out of the country.

Selectively picking and choosing who can, or can not, have Constitutional rights is a *VERY* dangerous ground to tread on.

'Cause one day it might be you.

They aren't all killers.

But most of them sure seem to cheer for those who are.

I'd feel better about Islam if I saw/heard more Muslims publicly condemning terrorism.

Gahh, now I feel sick... having actually defended Islam.

You might want to ponder that.

You use the singular “a” which is simplistic. Islam is divided into numerous feuding factions (Sufi, Shi’ite, Sunni, etc.), which often have intense disagreements on political and other issues. It is not a monolith. But hey if you want to treat it as a monolith and go to war with every Muslim in the world, you are not going to have enough body bags to handle the carnage.

Islam is a despotic world state ideology, one that is completely incompatible with liberty. I’m sorry you can’t see that.

And they’re already at war with our country, whether you are smart enough to recognize that obvious fact or not.

I remember 9/11, and I know what this scumbag imam is all about. I won’t close my eyes to the truth that the intent is to build a Victory Mosque. Bob

You may not like it but “scumbags” have the same property rights as you do in this country. Naked emotion is a poor guide for determing our rights.

The same critique applies to Marxists who support Obama. Would you also trample on their property and first amendment rights?

I wouldn’t trample on anyone’s property or First Amendment rights. You either willfully or ignorantly misunderstand. I simply know the definition of foreign and domestic enemies of our Constitution and its principles, and realize that every officer of government in this country is sworn to fight and defeat those enemies. We are at war, sir. A war started and continued by the adherents of the murderous false prophet Mohammed.

You can’t use our commitment to the protection of the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and private property as a weapon to kill our people, strip us of our liberty, and to destroy our property. We’re smarter than that.

Unfortunately, there are a large number of people in this country who have become that stupid. They are so detached from the true foundational principles of this free republic, that they will, insanely, fall for such patent nonsense.

That’s all you’ve got? The same tired, already dismantled Palin leftist talking points?

The engineered and highly edited Couric propaganda interview.

The Palin as quitter meme, when the facts are she resigned her position because of the puerile, punkish harrassment from unrelenting, vicious political operatives which 1) prevented her from doing her job and b) were costing her and her state millions in defense outlays.

The infantile, irrelevant seizing on inconsequential minor spelling and vocabulary gaffes as signs of intelligence, character and inability to perform.

“Nuclear” by the way was Bushe’s gaffe and how utterly heinous and nation threatening it was. Get your Leftist propganda straight at least.

Tell me did you get a raging boner when Quayle mispelled potato, and how prolonged was your wet dream during the Communist media witch hunt known as Watergate.

You’re a transparently, inferior thespian “conservative”. You know it. I know it.

My view does not emanate from “naked emotion”. I oppose this proposed Mosque b/c the Constitution is not a suicide pact. If someone like George Soros sponsored a pro-Nazi center near the site of the OKC Federal Bldg, I’d oppose that as well. Guys like this *scumbag* imam and Soros have, by their actions, torn up their humanity card, and I don’t believe that America should cater to them as if they were ordinary citizens. Do you think that if someone proposed that a statue of abortionist George Tiller’s murderer be built near his old abortion center, the left would be preaching “tolerance” of this structure? Bob

Obama can spell “nuclear football”? You know, just as the evil left ruined the lives of Tom Delay and his family over NOTHING, they were trying to do the same to Sarah. Since we live in a day when our courts rarely throw out frivolous lawsuits, Gov. Sarah Palin’s entire day was spent fighting them. Staying as governor WOULD have been a stupid and pointless decision. I’ll bet that YOU have never faced a single warrantless lawsuit, let alone over a dozen! Blessings, Bob
